I just finished building MS using the downloadable instructions from Lego on my ipad. It was very hard to for me to differentiate some of the elements, colors, and placement, especially the black roof slopes. I am going to do the CC next and would like to use printed instructions, but I am not paying $250 for them. I tried using the Staples Laser printing service for just the parts list and it still has poor clarity. Any tips on where to find a better file and/or how to print them in a higher resolution?

I am asking myself what the majority of AFOLs without kids do with a set when it is built? It's clear that there are sets meant to be played with, others rather meant to be displayed only and some qualify for both. What do you buy sets for? Which are the ones you play with (on your own), which do you only put up to display?

Could anyone please tell me what type of this MOC called? I've seen other superheroes as well but could not find the picture now. And I was wondering whether there is a name for this specific MOC so i could use it for better search. If anyone have an instruction on how to build one of them, it would be great!!! Many thanks

Can someone tell me in fairly simple terms how you go about creating a MOC, for example if I was wanting to build a MOC of the building(s) I work in. I have never built a set before let alone a MOC. Can it even be explained in words? Pardon my ignorance here.

Hello! I want to introduce my build - The Mirror of Galadriel. The set is dedicated to the iconic scene from "The Lord of the Rings" where Lorien queen Galadriel shows hobbits their future, using the magic elven mirror. The set consists of approximately 100 pieces and includes 2 minifigures. I also posted my work on LEGO Ideas, so if anyone like it, he may support it. After acquiring 10000 supports, my work can be released as official LEGO set. The link on my project page: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/85110

I'm tossing out a question. Lately I have been rebuilding sets to sell and have been finding that seeing the difference of the old Light Gray and the new Light Blueish Gray is hard in the light I have. In sunlight the difference is very apparent. But I do most my building at night. I know that incandescent lights are not ideal but I have an LED light and sometimes the difference is very hard to discern. The Dark Gray pieces stand out easily. So what lights do you have in your Lego rooms? Any other tricks for sorting the old and new? Thanks

I know some of you are into Fantasy Baseball, Football, etc. I was curious if anyone out there keeps any kind of stats or logs? I guess the main thing that came to my head was something along the lines of a piece per minute stat. Simply meaning after opening your first bag, how many pieces can you put together per minute? I was wondering this while putting together 75082 Tie Advanced Prototype. I liked the set and everything, but seemed to be zooming through at a good clip. Although it did have a few repeat builds which made it easy. But that got me thinking if that is something to track or not? I mean it does take some brain power to be able to see what pieces are needed…

Hi Brickpickers! I finished building the 2nd floor of my Pet Shop, but the maintenance guy is just about to paint the walls for remodeling. I want to redesign my 2nd floor, but have any of you created a design plan with more rooms, a bed, tv, etc as a MOC? Please comment or add pictures to this thread!

Hi guys and happy new year! I wanted to start my posts this year with not one but two micro landscape builds inspired by Jedha. The first is a reconstruction of the Assault on Jedha complete with Hovertank and At-St. The At-St model is an old build but the hover tank is a new design I am really pleased with. IMG_20161221_184332 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr IMG_20161221_213237 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr0 This model is a recreation of a particular shot from the Rogue One trailer, still built on my usual 16x16 base.
