This is a great article and video posted on the home page here at BP (from the Brick Blogger): http://thebrickblogger.com/2015/10/lego-africa-first-time-playing-with-lego/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+thebrickblogger+(TheBrickBlogger) My five year-old son and I are going to send a box to this program. He is so "over-privileged" when it comes to the amount of Lego toys in our home. Watching this video makes him understand how lucky he is and it's amazing to me how much he wants to share and help kids who don't have Legos. I hope some of you will donate as well. This is guaranteed to give you lots of good karma for the upcoming holi…

How often do you buy LEGO sets just for its bricks? If you are a MOC builder or buy used sets that don't have complete pieces, do you go out and buy sets just to get a section of your MOC done, or to finish the set.

This is one of my simple but fun projects that I have my wife for Valentine's Day. Our last name starts with a B. All lego and it has two 5x5 (actually are 5.5x5.5) plaques from Shutterfly in it. Yes I superglued it (almost a sin I know). Found the lego minifigure bodies to match what we were wearing and our son. Then had heads 3D printed.

What system do you use to sort and store for quick, easy access? I acquired a UHAUL sized load of parts that I want to use for building MOCs and need help. I am thinking some kind of wall-sized drawer-ed system but not sure what people have tested and like. Thanks for any help.

You can have the article translated automatically via Google Chrome, but basically it says that 16 yrs old built within a year this MF. Its 163 by 118 cm, consists of 70.000 pieces and what is most interesting.. the kid concluded that the price of all the bricks was just cca 300 USD more than the original UCS version.. unbelievable.. https://www.idnes.cz/jihlava/zpravy/lego-millennium-falcon-stavebnice-hvezdne-valky-pelhrimov-rekord-kuriozita-mezina-vysocina-radek-pop.A191211_084929_jihlava-zpravy_mv

I remember seeing the digital creation by BobDeQuatre months ago and thought that was impressive as heck but this.... this goes beyond anything conceivable as a MOC or work of art. Here is the backstory behind the character and design going into this. Eurobricks

This is my first build that I will share with you! The M:Tron Mining Base! The Story The mine supplies the galaxy with all the Brickonium found in these mountains. The base has operated for quite some time now without any Blacktron interference. The Classic Space Command Center has sent a Galaxy Explorer to check up and make sure everything is running smoothly. The magnetic crane is loading the freighter with the precious crystal, as the satellite towers control air flight and help the freighters leave the atmosphere safely. The Build The build took me about 25 to 30 hours to complete over the course of 10 to 12 days. I had a blast! The mountain scape was slightly diffic…

Hi Brickpickers! I just wanted to share an idea I was thinking of to see if anyone has done something similar before. By trade I am a draughtsman / designer and use the standard drawing programme AutoCAD. To brush up on my 3d modelling / new inventor programme, I was thinking of recreating our little beloved bricks and assembling them on the computer. Each individual part will need to be drawn out and then they can be pieced together individually. Due to the eductational nature of this, I thought throwing lego into the mix would make it much more interesting Has anyone done this before? What would be a good set to start with? Personally was thinking one of the st…

So, worth a post here, board seems to be dead today Is there any current sets out there that are going to give me a nice brick/$$$ ratio for just building lego? the starter/builder boxes seem rather lame. I raided my old stash of Lego from my parents house and it has a bunch of 2x4 bricks, cloudy windows and not a lot of cool stuff like they have now. I sold off all the minifigs for 2x the black gate and am building the double black gate set up, but are there any other sets out there that just have a lot of bricks? Using the hobbit/LOTR as an example, other than Helms deep, and maybe the black gate, the sets seem to run high on the minifigs, and you almost nee…

Hi guys, to celebrate Rogue One hitting the screens in the UK I have gone back to my favourite style of building and created this Scarif micro landscape. A collection of stories about a world supported by four elephants standing atop a giant turtle filled with all sorts of characters including Death (Not death with a little "d" but Death with a big "D" as in the person.) were written with such wit and humor, there is no doubt as to why these tales amuse and inspire so many. Though the storyline may progress no further and the author sorely missed, Sir Terry Pratchett's fable will never be forgotten. Many pooh-poohed the UCS B-wing. I rather liked the model, but admit some changes were needed. I attempted to make the changes I felt were necessary to become a true UCS model. Pictures are on my MOC pages. http://mocpages.com/moc.php/390298

A Summer In Tuscany by Pau Padrós, en Flickr Hey guys, just in case you're interested, this is a little modular MOC I finished a couple weeks ago. There's a whole album about it on Flickr. About its design, there's not much to say. Assembly Square's setup (48x32), only tuned up for a Tuscan/Emilia Romagnan little square (Firenze, Lucca, Piasenza, Modena, Ravenna etc.). I do think it's nice, hope you like it! It's actually the second modular I do that features yellow prominently, but here I believe it's used in a more balanced manner. Besides, I've tried to capture some of the summery details that are often hard to convey in Lego, for instance, the tree peeking b…

Everyone remember Technic set 42025? Great set to be sure, but IMO in need of some improvements. I have documented more about the changes and the process of making the changes along with pics at: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/418746#reviews but briefly, here are some pics and video of the changes. Check it out!

Hi, I have recently started using the Lego Digital Designer to build a waterway for a pirate ship set I have. I am finding that some of the pieces that are in the Lego Designer program are hard to locate. I am using some blue transparent plates to help make the water, and I have having a hard time finding anything like it on Pick-A-Brick through Lego. I also know of Bricklink.com, but through a few searches I haven't found any there either. Any suggestions for finding these bricks after I get my design finished? Thanks.

I am not looking for something as huge as the one in the link, maybe just the size of one of the medium sized Architecture sets. Does anyone have any idea if there is someone selling instructions or a smaller MOC somewhere?

I am working on the Assault on Hoth set and should be done with it shortly. I am looking for ideas on how to display this set. While this set gets a lot of flack for any number of reasons, I think if done correctly it can be a very visually appealing display set. If anyone has any ideas on how they displayed it, or even if you don't own it but have ideas, they would be much appreciated. As of now I am not looking to display it with any other sets(though the fact it's so short on snowtroopers bugs me) so it will just be this set. Thanks!
