Ever wanted to know what makes LEGO so 'addictive'? Then check out this nice little art piece created by Cole Blaq on flickr. Special Ingredient - Cole Blaq on flickr I don't know, I just find this to be a nice little work of art. It's interesting, catches my eye, and pleasant to look at.

Ok, it is the holiday lull... unless you chose to ship FBM this year! So, a diversion is in order. I have been planning on building a city for a while, and it is nearly time. To be honest, I resell lego just to fund my lego city account. Our basement is almost done, (I will start building new lego tables in January) and I have an area, not as large as I would like, but much bigger than nothing! So I am building a tiered city, using Eureka Springs, Arkansas as my inspiration It. It is built into the side of an Ozark Mountain, and it very "tiered". I would love to see all of your layouts for inspiration, so post them below! I will try to update my progres…

Hey Everyone, I know that Technic is not the most popular to do MOCing in ..... but thought I would share my new build. Had to save up lots of 15L liftarms to accomplish this.... but finally done. I have posted all the information elsewhere, with more photos, details, etc. so I won't redo everything, and I only have so much room here. http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/425498 http://youtu.be/W4DlzAeiWl0 http://youtu.be/3GnCv2T6Uxw Check it out..... little but of a read but hopefully worth it. I also re-created in Lego the exact lift that the Liebherr group did years ago on their customer appreciation …

I'm tossing out a question. Lately I have been rebuilding sets to sell and have been finding that seeing the difference of the old Light Gray and the new Light Blueish Gray is hard in the light I have. In sunlight the difference is very apparent. But I do most my building at night. I know that incandescent lights are not ideal but I have an LED light and sometimes the difference is very hard to discern. The Dark Gray pieces stand out easily. So what lights do you have in your Lego rooms? Any other tricks for sorting the old and new? Thanks

Hello all, I am not so active anymore in the LEGO community. But I have seen this project started at kickstarter named Lightstax. It needs funding for the creation of lightning lego pieces, lamps and stuff. It looks impressive and would really enhance my Modular Buildings. I have pledged this project already. See the kickstarter project here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/brandtraders/light-stax-toy-bricks-meet-led Kind regards, Deejay

I am pleased to announce my most complicated and rewarding build, the Lykan Hypersport. The lego car blog: https://thelegocarblog.com/2017/02/16/you-cant-put-a-price-on-exclusivity/ Flickr album: https://flic.kr/s/aHskUnVDew It all started with framework. I had to design it so it wouldn't have any motors in the back or the front of the wheels. Most of my previous builds have been too large in those areas, so I tried create more room with this build. This is a really early version of the framework.. a lot has been changed for the final version Some of my main goals for this build were to create as many realistic functions possible…

I bought set 7994 (the Lego City Harbor) over the summer, but I didn't like the problem it was having with peeling stickers. So I just bought another one. I was taking the set apart and inventorying it so I can sell my current ship, and I noticed the inventory in the back only calls for one pair of blue pants when there are in fact two. I went through and added up all the parts that were in the inventory (counting the string, which I guess Lego does- they did in 2230) and it was in fact the official count: 659. That is not counting the other pair of pants, which would make it 670. I know it's only a one piece difference, but this means that Brickpicker is wrong, the Lego …

Since I am a broke highschooler, I rarely ever buy/get lego sets outside of the occasional Christmas or birthday, so I have learned how to work with what I have. One of my favorite hobbies is stop motion, so I use different parts of different minifigures to make the characters that I want. Here are a few that I have recently made: Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be appreciated. I would also really like to see any other "makeshift figs" any of you all have created![emoji1] EDIT: The 4 figures are Black Panther, Apocalypse, Luke Skywalker, and The Winter Soldier

Based on the former SF3D now called Maschinen Krieger ZbV 3000 (alternatively "Ma.K") universe created by Kow Yokoyama back around 1982 as a series made from kit-bashed models to tell a story, this collective of builds are meant to capture the unique style of this science-fiction realm with powered armor suits, rounded hover tanks, various aircraft and more. Further delving into this world of war, I am beginning to understand the attraction for the core concept. The hardsuits in particular have an inspiring air of familiarity. While there is an annual building month event every October called "Ma.Ktoberfest", this primary topic will highlight all these fan builds over tim…
