As the title goes, do you think Helm's deep might do better because it is way more iconic than Pirate Ship? I kinda feel like that, allthough ships just have a winner all over, but still while a pirate ship you get 0 pirates (well 1 sigh) so it kinda feels lacking towards any other previous big set pirate ship released, while Helm's deep is one if not most iconic momments of 2nd movie. thoughts and insights appreciated :)

With the first wave of the LOTR sets to go in June time, which ones are the best to buy before that time. I currently have two of 9473 & one 9474. Thoughts anyone. Should I concentrate on the larger sets or will the small ones do well to?

Ive bought 2 of every set so far in the LOTR/The Hobbit Themes, 1 for myself 1 to sell later. Would it be better to sell them individually or group them all together and sell them as a collection. I feel like having literally every set, including polybags, keychains, etc... could add quite a premium, but just now at retail prices the who lot is well over $1k, add in a few more sets and 2-3x in value after retirement the collection could be worth 5k+, quite a bit for the average AFOL thoughts? thanks, ~S

I know that in Attack of the Wargs instead of putting Azog in the set Lego put Yazneg in the set, but my question is were they saving Azog to put in the next wave of the Hobbit sets?

Hi all, So I was going to buy this set but every location is selling it for full retail @ 169.99. Being in Canada, very rare do I find good deals, or clearance items, not enough supply for collectors. However, Amazon.ca is selling the set for 123.11. Thinking about buying a couple. What are your thoughts on the investment potential? Thx :)

Any thoughts on investment potential on the new LOTR Series? I've thought over it for a while and I think it would be a good investment in the long run. I haven't gotten any yet, but wanted to hear some other opinions. Any ideas?

Even though I like star wars and some other themes I think lotr dominates when it comes to mini figs and huge sets such as helms deep and goblin king battle . So just wanna know what everyone else thinks.

I was at TRU today, and they had BG for $70 and PSA for $120. I know that these prices are typical, but they are still ridiculous. Do any of you insiders know when we will get them at Wal-Mart, Target, etc for retail? Also, do any of you have these in your local Wal-Marts?

I have been so meaning to post this for like a week now! Iain Heath (Ochre Jelly on flickr) has created this fantastic scene with Bilbo holding 'the one ring' beside a scared Gollum/Smeagol. Finders Keepers! - Ochre Jelly on flickr The character builds are simply beautiful, and the usage of parts is brilliant! I think the camera angle used in the image attached and the link is perfect.

So far I have 2 helms deeps I got at 50% retail and it is still possible I will find a few at the current $85 plus %15 percent off. I have 32 unopened Uruk hai sets, most of which I got at $21. I have been parting them out for a while. My question is how many should I set aside to pair with my helms deeps when I decide to put them up for sale. The more boxes I add the more the shipping will go up, so should I consider offering the a ton of walls and hook shooters to make an enclosed caste and part out the minifigures?
