General Buying & Selling

  3. Here is the link: http://www.shopko.com/detail/lego-star-wars-at-st--endor/45632 I tried to order this once before but after three weeks it was canceled out. I decided I'll try again. Results may vary. I couldn't find anything else worth ordering to get free shipping, but the planets came out to about four dollars a piece for me, and to me that's a deal. Happy Hunting!

I have 3 old lego brand cars (vw bug, mercedes coupe and a for something) that are small metal cars with clear garages that the door open on. I also have a bunch of lego gears (red large, blue medium and white small) and lot of green plastic moulded trees that i was told are from lego as well (although there are no markings on them). Are these worth anything?

Delete if not appropriate. Our friends 13 year old son is amazed by my lego stash and is a little lego crazy. He is also very bright and brought over a pad and pen and took notes on how to become a lego investor (to fuel his collection). His first ebay auction ever is live, and he set up everything (paypal, ebay. Etc) on his own, and did it 100% by himself. http://m.ebay.com/itm/141750896880?_mwBanner=1 Here is his listing, I'd buy it, but he would know it's me. Would be happy to return the favor to someone similar or help out. Thanks

So I am new to investing in Legos, and I only just remembered a few bionicles I got when i was much younger that were collecting dust up in my room. I never opened them since I was really more of a star wars guy, but now I am hoping to sell them. Unfortunately, I've never sold anything online before and I can't find any completed listings on ebay that are like what I have so I was hoping someone here could help me out. I have 3 bionicles, namely 8589, 8588, and 8592 all factory sealed in perfect condition aside from a little dust haha. They look like they might be worth something like 8-15 each, but would it be better to sell all three at the same time? And if so for a…

Hi, I am relatively new to Lego re-selling. Over about a decade I have amassed a collection of mini figures which I intend to sell for a decent price. If it works so, the money I receive will be re-invested into Lego which I can once again sell and expand my inventory. Do you recommend, for a beginner, I begin an e-store or go straight to auction sites? I live in New Zealand by the way. Thanks so much to anyone who replies.

  8. Idk if this is a good deal for investing, but it is a great deal if you actually want the clock and watch (do people actually want these..? The boba clock does look pretty cool) WooT! you can choose darth maul or boba fett and you get the clock and watch (with minifig) for $19.99 plus $5 shipping says it has 5 hrs left or until sold out

  9. I'll cut to it quickly - I have a Finch Dallow and a NISB Darth Revan that I'm looking to turn into more LEGO. I do all of my selling locally, so I haven't jumped into the online game. My goal is to try to use these two figures towards larger Lord of the Rings or Star Wars sets that are on my wanted list. I could sell these on eBay or something and then turn around and buy LEGO, but I'd rather just do a trade. Is there any market for that, or any good community for it? Is there any chance anybody here is interested? If not, any tips to make sure I don't get screwed when selling online as these are single rare items? Thanks for any help!

  11. Newbie Here, I've looked at the Bricklink marketplace and have a few questions regarding how pricing is determined. Being in the US I notice that there are a lot of re-sellers in a wide variety of locations (Asia, Europe, Australia along with the US). Question... In your brick stores, do you see most of your customers being local, your regional geographic area (Europe, North America, Asia), or is it random? Reason I ask is that I see many of the US sellers with slightly higher prices compared to Europe and Asian stores. This is a generality, based upon the sets I looked up, not individual pieces. Thanks for your feedback

I have heard talk of a Bricks and Minifig store opening up in my area. I actually looked into opening one or something similar and the numbers just didnt seem right for my area. Hopefully I am wrong and the store is a great success. We already have a Lego store and its one of the smallest as far as sales volume goes. I dont really have much competition in my area when it comes to buying clearance Lego so I hope that doesnt change.

I have been mulling over this for a while. What do people normally set their BIN listing lengths to? I sort have defaulted to the 30 days but I have noticed (with one exception that sold in 30 mins) most things tend to sell in the last week of the listing. So do people use the 30 day listing period or a shorter one? I am talking here about selling sets, in my case vintage ones, rather than PAB pieces in which I have discovered does not really work on ebay BIN.

I love this site and they just so happened to have minecraft legos in stock and you could buy up to 4 of them. I have been dying to get this set and i will finally have it. The only thing about Jinx is that it takes forever for shipping. I doubt they have anymore in stock but check it out in case.

Has anyone here ever been to the New York Toy Fair? If so, is it worth it? I'm considering applying to go this year, but am not sure that I want to spend the money to do so.

The size of the 2016 LEGO Wall Calendar seems to be bigger than the regular USPS envelop. I am wondering what is the best way to ship it? Thanks a lot

  19. Started by toni8284,

I have been shipping with USPS for 95% of the time. Now Stamps.com had UPS now, and the shipping cost is a lot cheaper than USPS from east to west. So I love the stamps.com insurance. But now if I switch to UPS, they dont have insurance. Only declared value. So, for the seller that use UPS/Fedex a lot to sell high value lego, do you put more on the declare value. UPS said declared value not insurance. So, do you have to buy insurance from third party? What's your advise on declare value and insurance. Thank you

  20. I picked up a couple 40220 - Mini London Bus over the weekend that I was hoping to flip on Bricklink, but apparently the set is still pending approval. I'm relatively new to this, so I've never watched for a brand new set on Bricklink before. How long does it usually take for them to approve the set so I can list my items?

The newest style Stack-On DS-60 60 Drawer Storage Cabinet does not come with slots for dividing the drawers. Sucks since I just ordered a couple of the DS-60's and automatically added the dividers to the order that are useless now.

Have any of you from the US ever bought stuff from Mexico or South America? I want to open a brick and minifigure store at Bricklink and I would like to know if people from the US have to pay import taxes when buying from outside the country, I could ask a friend to send from the US but I really dont want to bother him.

Hey all , i'm making this thread for a place where people can post what they have bought or have in stock to ask a simple question keep or sell? Keep : keep in storage and wait for a later price up to resell. (well duh) Sell: price's are at a high at the moment if you sell now you will make a nice profit but you dont have to seen as i might go up even more... (lego sets might not stay at higher value so thats why its some time better to sell them now before they go down and reinvest in a cheaper set or 2) (BUT just because people say sell doesnt mean price wont go up anymore! so be aware of this! this is only a recommendation not a todo list) …
