Bricklink/BrickOwl - Discussion, questions, & answers
raindog replied to chinothegeeko's topic in Other LEGO Marketplaces
The move is a bullshit one for larger stores that have worked to build a name for themselves. I have over 2000 business cards with my name on it and now they expect me to change my name?!? To change my avatar? LEGO would be better suited worrying about Pantasy, Lumibricks, etc instead of exerting control over sellers. -

Yeah, the latest "update" is that if you don't merge your accounts by the end of the year your Bricklink account will be deleted, not just suspended but gone. -

Bricklink has been pretty ruthless about merging accounts without even asking. Dont think it will be worth trying g to resist unless one truly has multiple shipping billing locations. -

Interesting question. I never thought about that. I do not want to link my bricklink and Lego accounts at all. I plan to see if I can set up another Lego "dummy" account and link the two. -

So a question about the LEGO/Bricklink integration coming up. What about those of us banned from LEGO? Will that have an effect on our Bricklink buying/selling ability? - Yesterday

If you're wondering why so many of the 2024 (and some 2023) retirements are still suppressed and/or not showing a BB on AMZN, look no further than B&N. They put zero effort in search to drive traffic to their site. Some really popular sets still selling for RRP.

A silly video of finding ways to use non-traditional but still official Lego parts for creating a small city. -
Rather snazzy and.... is that Mr. Gold?

Barnes has some 25% off sets, some retired but it does not stack with membership 10%. I feel like the value of the membership has been diminishing for the past year, seems like much less sales and stamps promotions than previous years.

the euro sellers, Amazon will take their invoices
-
Targeted ebay promo, buy a $10+ item on ebay live, get a 50% off coupon. $100 off can be used up to 4x (split into 4 $50 purchases).

Most are alternate ( European listings ) aside from the GWP and store exclusives. I don’t see it as the sky is falling. No need to pay me for my seminar either
-
Or will the price go down on ebay because the amazon sellers start offloading their mammoth inventory? All the big whales are amazon sellers.
-
If most of these sets are removed from Amazon, would the prices go up for these sets on eBay since people will no longer be able to find on Amazon?
-
Amazon reduced my buy-box visibility to 0% for some unknowable reason, so I haven't had a "Sold, ship now" email from Amazon in four days, but I sure have gotten several "Listings deactivated due to ASIN Creation Policy violation" emails. Thanks, Amazon.
-
Amazon just hates USA sellers, I did a Webinar for AWD, tried to find out why every shipment goes back east, They refused to answer that, West coast is pretty much resevered for China, All they did was push China and EU to send containers
-
I started getting a flood of "Listings deactivated due to ASIN Creation Policy violation" emails this morning and checking some of the ASINs, they are indeed the ones that were threatened to be removed 30 days ago. Well thanks Amazon, it's been fun getting scammed by your customers, who are enabled by your "the customer is always right, even if they are completely lying" policy.

A few videos from a tabletop gaming channel using LEGO as the playing area and game pieces. -
Interesting hearing that about USPS. I've used them a lot for two reasons: 1) Between USPS, UPS and FedEx, USPS consistently delivers packages to our home in the same condition they were likely shipped to us in. UPS and FedEx packages frequently arrive with the box looking like they dropped it off a cliff and then brought it to us. 2) I can drop off 10+ packages with receipt for each one scanned and make it back home in 15 min or less. They also almost always deliver earlier than estimated. I've found UPS never does this even if tracking looks like they have the opportunity to deliver a day early.
