LEGO Bans - Open Discussion

Well I think I've reached another level of initiation when after latest quick term ban all your orders are passing "Under Review" stage.
I'm gonna need to buy red phone like those ones which are creating bridge between Kremlin and D.C but between me and LEGO.

As for operating with a single account to stay within the vendor’s technically-enforced limits, I believe this is the current state of things.   Cliff notes: you’ll be fine as long as you don’t

  • The ban is a very interesting topic. I've said before, and I'll say again, that Lego wants its products to increase in value after they retire.  TLG wants consumers standing there in the store holding

Well they are doing you a favour if they cancel that last order then! A like for Assylum.

What seal codes were on the Ectos?

43S6, they didn't. It's in warehouse already.

So no long term ban for ya then?
  • 1 month later...

I don't think bans can happen as easily anymore.  It seems they have hard limits now.  When my friend tried to buy more than the limit on another order, the site didn't allow it.  They should of done that a long time ago.

Anyone else notice this?

Which site are you referring to? shop.lego.com?

Yeah sorry... LEGO SHOP.  It seems to have hard set limits, wont' allow you to order more than limit, even in separate order.

How new? I had no issues in Feb defeating limits, though I waited for shipping before ordering again

Maybe it's coz you waited for shipping then.  It was last month when the batman accessory pack was still available.  Limit 5.  When u try to reorder it didn't allow it.

when you are about to quantity which is close to meet system/website limit for certain order you are exposing yourself dramatically for potential ban, just letting you know.
I've got one because of that.

This may have been answered elsewhere, but has anyone been banned from TRU.com for multiple orders to get around item limits in the past?

or I guess, has anyone done this (made several orders of 1 item limit items) and had it all be successful without issue?

I've never had an issue making multiple orders with TRU.

People have been banned.  Someone mentioned around Christmas time that their 60th (or so) order of Vet Clinics got them banned.

BA and I have been banned

Mine was multiple orders, different stuff. The same week of the Sandcrawler and Fairground Mixer frenzy.

In the UK if you order more than 3 /4  of the same lego set in one transaction for store pickup, the order will go through, but then you will receive an email saying out of stock / cancelled order.

i was banned from tru uk online a few years ago for buying large amounts of dr who figures

If you are banned from SAH for some reason, what happens to your existing VIP rewards/points? Also, I guess there's no point trying to collect anymore VIP points from Lego in-store purchases?

That's why I don't let VIP points mount up, just in case.

Some lose them...some get to use them.  Seems to be no definitive action from LEGO.

when I was banned I was able to redeem the points but unable to add any more to the existing pool.
