I sell some used sets. Most are craigslist finds that I sell on ebay. You can use ebay completed auctions to get an idea of what sets go for. Bricklink also has plenty of used sets for sale.

I would check out the blog posts on here. Lots of good info, advice, and things to consider. Reselling used can be a lot of work, but it only takes a few good deals to make it worthwhile. Good luck!

Buying in bulk and finding/building the sets from that bulk is the best way to go I have found. If you can get it under $5-7 a pound in good condition you'll have a pretty easy time.
