I don't know if here is a thread for this already, but I was looking for an answer for a certain set (70809) Lord Business Evil Lair how many of them are in a LEGO shipping box.
I think this would be helpful to have a thread where people can post for each set, as the amount of items that I have received damaged is huge, usually if you buy a single set in the UK (Not Lego S&****) they send it in bubble wrap (if you're lucky) in a plastic bag, but i have found if you buy the quantity of a shipping box they usually just ship it in that box and it protects the items better.

Has anyone gotten a factory carton with a single 10257, and flip top lid?  That's the first time I've gotten either of those (well, other than 1 per carton on a huge set).  The packaging looks legitimate, but I got it off eBay for $10 below retail + S/H [and further discounted by a coupon] and the weight is also almost 10% heavier than what's listed.

believe they made it for amazon FFP like the Saturn V had,  regular LEGO and Merlin only get the 2 per cases still.   Bezos gets his own boxes...

Please excuse my stupid question, but why are you all asking about the number of sets per factory carton? Is this because you want to use them as shipping boxes without having to buy them or for ease of storage? I personally use brand new boxes that are a close(ish) fit, and double-walled for expensive sets. I've not had sets shipped in factory cartons for a long time apart from John Lewis C&C.

Oh... the number can vary as I've had the 10220 VW Campers (old box) in cartons of 3 and 4. The amount per carton has never dictated my ordering quantity.

old box was 3 in US,  2 on new one

a lot of people here ask as the ship to store orders have a better chance of being in factory case at time of pickup.

My reason is that online retailers here in Canada do a **** job packaging, especially larger sets. Recently ~80% of the (single) sets I've ordered have been put in boxes that were way too large with maybe 3 or 4 airbags thrown in for "protection". About half of those orders are delivered with the set having a crushed or punctured box. Hopefully by ordering a quantity that comes in a factory shipping box will result in them just slapping a shipping label on it and sending it off properly packaged.

I saw a lady at Asda unpacking some and Harry Potter & Hedwig were 6 to a box. I'd guess all £14.99 twin sets were the same? However, I did notice that they were all snapped up as soon as they went on the shelf, 10min later and all were gone and not even discounted! Is this an indication of a very hot set after EOL?

Any one know how many Destiny Bounty's -70618 per shipping case?  I saw Crayxlp's post above and wasn't sure if the same shipping amounts would apply to North America?  I would think so, but with Lego sometimes I am just not sure...

Thanks, that’s what I think too but was hoping for confirmation.   I ordered 2 from Costco and instead of just sending out the LEGO box, they took each one out, shrink-wrapped it and then sent?

Of course by the time they got to me they were pretty banged up.
