A rather unique book by DK Publishing primarily focusing on 'the dark side' will be due for release in September. No clues as to the exclusive minifigure but hopefully this one shall not be a retro release of a disappointment like a certain other recently released compendium. It is certainly not Revan. They put in the exclusive figure mainly to milk SW MF collectors. Most of whom already have Revan. It would be VERY poor business tactic.

Great cover art, but it`s not going to be Raven. Got to agree with others on that, it would be crazy sales tactics. I don`t think Lego has ever had a promo/rare figure show up in a book, and I doubt they ever will. 

I wonder if the exclusive may be a character from the new Star Wars Rebels series as a way of helping promote it.

OrcKing, Inversion and @rtisan got me convinced. I'll take Revan back and guess its a more iconic Dark side character. Some variation of Darth Vader or Palpatine.

Imagine if Yoda were to ever go to the dark side. He would be unstoppable. I vote for Darth Yoda.

It probably won't ever happen but I really want to see a Phase III Dark Trooper as a minifigure.

Word is the included minifigure will be a new version of Darth Sidious/Emperor Palpatine which would mean Huskers guessed correctly. While there are no images at this time, you can get a decent look at this updated variant in this Microfighters short that you may have already watched from another thread.

We know it isn't that guy so this is moot, but FYI, that is Darth Nihilus, one of the main antagonists from KOTOR2. Wouldn't be shocked to see him in Lego form one day, given that we've seen Revan and some other TOR characters/sets.

Someone on Bricklink acquired what could be the double-sided head and torso for the Emperor Palpatine minifigure exclusive to this compendium. We already know or figure the hood, legs, and cape will just be simple black so this pretty much is what we will get except he's missing all those other parts here.
