Why does this $40 set have printed bricks and my $120 Camper has a sticker VW emblem?? Shenanigans!!

It brings a tear to my eye thinking about it

I agree with the review, and believe the set looks a mess.

The printed "OUTATIME" plate though?

that brick and 2 minifigs - 34.99 to spend....LOL

I know. The minifigs and printed parts are sublime (even with the date change on the time component)

But the rest.......

I'm going to be buying 20-30 of these for sure!

So you are so sure that this is a winner that you are gonna spend over 1,000 dollars on them? Might wanna see how the others cuusoos perform before doing that.......

Why do i find this set lacking and not cool at all...

and i liked the movie lol

You aren't the only one. I wonder how many requests Lego will receive for the printed parts

I think kids from the 1980s (I was 8 when it was released and watched it in the theater) will buy a unit each. However, the thing is so ugly. As my 4 yr old says, "yucky"

Im a kid from the 80s and I really enjoyed the movie but i do not want one...

it looks lacking and not fun at all imo.

I might be completely out on this one.  I am a little disappointed the car can't accommodate two people it in.  Cool box though, I wish more Lego sets were packed like this one.

What you type worries me as an investor as my own impression of the final product. However, if production remains close to 10k units, one can help but think it will have solid ROI for an unknown duration (like Minecraft in Dec 2012).

I'm on the fence with this set. It's a nice bit of nostalgia but not terribly exciting. It should do well though as I bet even non lego peeps would be interested.
