I missed out on first couble days to order a RI also because I had no funds I did get two from store though lucky even got that. I think both sets will come back but in short spurts and it wont even be enough for christmas. Im getting these to flip some around christmas as they come back.

I picked up my 2nd Exo Suit today. Was pretty excited to get this especially getting it a 2nd time.

Maybe he's got kids and has to pay $1500 a month in childcare.  That is $18,000 a year.  Do you know how much Lego you could buy with that?  Some people have other expenses and can't fit a $20 set into their budget.  I understand that.  I WISH I could have financially bought more than 1 exo and one RI, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Some people have other expenses and can't fit a $20 set into their budget.  I understand that.  I WISH I could have financially bought more than 1 exo and one RI, but that's the way the cookie crumbles. 

Sometimes it's not even the expenses. I have a budget that I set for myself for buying Lego every month. I can be flexible with the budget a little, but when you already stretched your budget, it becomes hard to justify an extra $20 for a set. 

Taking longer for set to sell out on Amazon.  Stock has been sitting around 300 for 10 minutes.  Watched it at one point go from 304 to 308.  Maybe because it is Friday night and some people go out? 

Maybe because resellers aren't as prevalent as people think?

its the "2" purchase limit amazon has in place. so, most likely all retailers have their coffers full from target and TRU. since this is not really exclusive as RI which has been in short supply.

I'm guessing they are either maxed out @ amazon or bought more than enough considering how "limited" this set it.

oh there are a lot remember the supply on this thing. at least 500 from target first wave. similar from 2nd wave. so at the very least from target alone 1000 or so sets went to resellers.

amazon snaffu with no-limit vanished 300 in few minutes. so we know that at least within few days it was over 1000 from amazon that alone was consumed.

TRU must have released few hundreds on $24.99 and today we know that about 400 vanished @inflated $39.99 and 60 from tru-Ebay. so looks like another close to 1000.

 

so i am guessing about 90% of these actually went to resellers. = 2700 sets are at resellers hand @ this moment....

Does seem that way as it keeps popping up on various days on different sites.  I think RI has only popped up on TRU site on two different days since LEGO sold out.

Im not sure what the fuss is with this set. I bought two from amazon the other day "just because". They arrived today, and one is badly creased. I'm giving that one to my son. I'll throw the other one in storage and forget about it for a few years. Maybe it will provide zombie like returns, but I highly doubt it. I'm just not into quick flipping new release sets. There are too many variables to make it worth my time.

just stating obvious that seemed to have been forgotten that the hype created by the exclusivity that is/has caused this to be hoarded by lot of resellers in "large quantities".

 

buying from a limit of "2" and hoarding "1" or "both" is not a topic and concern. 

 

my personal opinion that it does not cause this kind of massive shortage. but i may be wrong.

Agree but 2700 doesn't mean a lot of resellers.

On RI two of us had 100 sets.

That would be 54 resellers.

Probably more on this but 100 or 200 not thousands .
