Today, New Elementary announced that the LEGO CUUSOO Exo Suit will be released in August of 2014! They also announced a logo. Unfortunately, there are no official images yet, but at least this gives us something to be looking forward to!

I bought 2 (was no limit) in Austria Vienna SCS LEGO store today, they had 3 (or 4 left) had no Institutes and the mark on all Exo Suits was 24S4 if that helps at all?

Assuming you sold for 70 at ebay you would make between 10 to 12 bucks... take out 15% in fees and assuming $10 to ship... Profit assumes one does not have a business...

Good to hear that this will be available again, hopefully with enough so that those who want one or ten can buy at RRP. 

Oh I just bought four of them too. Hopefully I can quick flip before they come back at LegoShop.

I'm not happy or unhappy about anyone missing out. I'm not feeling bad for anyone that missed out either. There was plenty of opportunities to get one at LEGO Shop at Home or even stock up via target.

very true .. It will be interesting too how many are made available in the next couple of months .

someone at lego saw the glut of oversold orders and said FIRE UP THE MOLDS, we need another 23097 Exo suits, and then someone said go ahead and make it an extra 30k, we'll get some extras, this is going to drive the secondary market into a second frenzy and i think there'll be an initial drop, and then a rebound in price as a LOT of these will be opened up for play thinking that there will be continual runs. 

 

I don't think there will be more than 1 or 2 runs and I think the original run was probably 30-50k, doubt very highly there will be more than 200k of these before they're EOLd and at least a third are opened

 

 

*all numbers are pulled from my ass except my feeling that 200k is the ceiling

My initial reaction is probably correct. The designer put that garbage out on reddit and it spread like wild fire. I thought it was especially hilarious that he went out of his way to say it definitely wasn't a marketing ploy. If you have to say that then it more than likely is. Oh well regardless it's a cool little set.

I did everything he mentioned. That allowed me to already flip these and still have plenty more on the way

Yep, this just means we can flip for smaller profits now to pay for more to buy and hold for later.  Nothing wrong with that.  Research Institute could be the same I wonder, but who knows?
