Ideas #007: 21109 - Exo-Suit

Today, New Elementary announced that the LEGO CUUSOO Exo Suit will be released in August of 2014! They also announced a logo. Unfortunately, there are no official images yet, but at least this gives us something to be looking forward to!

  • I am both on and off topic in adding a few thoughts for those people that are upset.   Guess what?  I got 30 RI's and 16 Exo's. Guess what else?  I am not a big time reseller.

  • They will either both be back, or neither will be.  Or one will be back and one will not.  Or both will be back briefly and then discontinued again.  Or Exo will be and not RI or vice versa.  There wi

The idiots charged me $45 shipping when I spent over the limit for free shipping. Lego next time u build a hype like this make sure you don't F......... us around and don't screw my order up either

Hey I nearly had the same thing, not sure if it's because of the new lego free shipping for Australia where it costs $200AUD and not $150AUD to qualify for free shipping :(

Not sure if it's a side effect of the website glitch, but Exo suit status went from "Available Now" to "Out of stock, expected ship date 15 Aug 2014".

Hahahahaha yeh my uber budget of 800$ for my trip to Austria is scary!!!!

Hi Alcarin, you

I ordered 2 with the free mini, out of stock ship date 4th September.

Hi Alcarin, you

Am I always this lucky? Stayed up till 2 a.m. but no luck and went to sleep. Woke up extra early this morning to make the order but the site did not work properly. I had to go to work and now it is OOS temporarely. By the time I get home from work all will be gone probably.

Just to vent my frustration.

Even if you stayed up til 02.45, you wouldn't have been lucky. I waited for it and no change. You can order via your smartphone?

Lego website is blocked at my work. Brickpicker is not... yet.

ToysRUs has exo suit for 24.99, but it can't be added to cart. Too bad.

Yes, same here.

Unless TRU is trying to make up for their overpricing ways, that looks more like someone mistyped a 2 for a 3...

Does anyone remember if The Rover was also available from Target at introduction? Currently, Target is allowing orders of 99 units.

No. Target never had them. If a target has them, they won't be limited.

So...... that means we've been hoodwinked by the news of the Exo Suit being a limited run?  This must have been one of the ideas the Exo Suit focus team came up with to boost sales...  "Hey guys!  I got a good one!  Let's have a plausibly reputable source make a seemingly low-key post on an internet forum stating that it's a single production run.  We'll let the internet furiously whip itself up into mass group speculation and the buyers will blindly go on a buying rampage on release day!!  Profit!!"

Well played Lego, well played!

Definitely an error since LEGO doesn't allow discounts on exclusives. It will change before it becomes available.

Well, I ordered a bunch of these "limited" sets from Target with a 90 day return window.

Let's keep checking the seal codes - ha

Oh great conspiracy theories!! Welp back to watching my documentary about how we DIDN'T land on the moon.

I think the conspiracy should have been realized when the exo suit was released first in the UK with a limit of 5.  I doubt Lego would have been so generous in one market to the detriment of availability in other markets if it were really a limited production run.

Well, we had proof of the limited production run on the Rovers from the LEGO catalog. We never had a catalog to see how this set was listed. With no limited notation in the catalog, this set is no different than any other set.

its available from target(already) and toysrus(soon).

how did this set become exclusive?
