I watched the last 10 min of the 1st half, and the first 20 min of the second, decided a tru run would be a better use of my time...

USA has a decent chance to progress given the way things transpire today. Germany should defeat Ghana, and Portugal will be without three players ( although I would have rather had the worthless Almeida play). A draw against Portugal and even a defeat against Germany might carry them thru .

Watching the replay now, this actually started alright with Nigeria creating chances, they just couldn't convert.

As people were leaving work, I told them to wait a few minutes for USA to score the go ahead winning goal...

I shocked myself with that prediction, but then again, team USA did that last WC also!

looking fwd  to Spain's game tomorrow vs Chile. 

First game should feature some goals, will probably pass on the last game of the day 

Only a few hours for the next game! Holland vs Australia!

Despite what local media here says "Holland has never defeated Australia before...", I predict the Netherlands achieving Total Victory with Total Football. The Aussie boys, many at their first WC (incl the coach), will not be up to it this time round.

Well done Australia, hats off to them. Predicted a whitewash by the Dutch, but the boys have stood up to the challenge, pity that they just couldn't get over the line. Must now wait for the replay to see that Tim Cahill super goal.

 

Now, I hope they will play even better against Spain in their next nothing-to-lose match and go out with glory.
