Hi, How long do Lego exclusive sets stay exclusive to Lego Shop@home?

 

I know 'hard to find' means available in limited other retailers but I thought Exclusive meant just that, and it wasn't available other than from Lego B&M stores or their online shop.

 

Sea Cow and Simpsons House are listed under Exclusive in UK on Lego website, but Smyths Toys has the Sea Cow in stock and the Simpsons House marked as available from May 15th.

Typically you would never see a Shop-at-Home exclusive in a physical store but there does seem to be exceptions for certain countries. Online wise seems to take a few months before appearing on other store sites. There are a handful of certain items that you only see in a Lego Store or on Shop-at-Home like this new Graduation set.

Lego's use of exclusive seems a bit dubious at best. I can find stores that have an exclusive of a product only to find it available elsewhere not including Lego's shop which would be the only reasonable exception.

I am curious as well. Will the Simpsons house be a lego exclusive only available at shop@home or the lego store? Or will it be available everywhere later on?

My guess is that it will stay an exclusive, but I know of some stores in the Netherlands that are somehow also selling exclusives. The big ToysXL store in Utrecht, A-Tembo in Delft and Breda or online shops such as Brickshop.nl and Speelgoednl.nl. As far as I know only the last two currently have the Simpsons House, but A-Tembo does for example have the Parisian Restaurant for

shop@home Germany changed the max. quantity to order on the Simpsons House. It is now max. 5 (was 1 per household).

That's a cute little set.  Now they just need to release a "moving back into my parent's house" set to go with it.  It could be a modular complete with basement apartment, video game system, piles of dirty laundry, empty take-out containers, and circled help-wanted ads newspaper brick.
