Looking for a nice set that has very good investment potential. have around $300 to spend, Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I'ld recommend buying a Cargo Train and a High Speed Passenger Train from LEGO, they will soon be retired with a new Cargo Train and a new HSP Train. Trains always jump in value, and you'll get about $30 in VIP points on LEGO.com because of 2x points.

Trains are good, but the point is to buy them at deeper discount. With original MSRP, no sir the trains can not rival the modulars. Are we sure the new trains coming out won't affect the value of the current ones? There are just so many exclusive sets which are better and safer bets.

Not to be a jerk but there are lots of threads and answers to all these what should I buy with x amount of $$$. If you look and research then you should know exactly what you want to do. If come down to a few different options post those and we will leave our opinions. Not trying to be harsh but I think this is already the 2nd or 3rd thread like this since 2x VIP started.

-I don't always go shopping, but when I do I buy Lego-
