I wanted to get your opinions before I order this part. The black cylinder cost around $30 a piece. I am deciding what to use instead of that piece. Should I go with a different color Cylinder (Red or DKStGrey) or go with a bunch of black 4x4 macaroni pieces. Thanks for looking.

Go for 4 Dark Bluish Grays since you really don't see these elements from the front.  It will blend in enough since the contrast is subtle.  Using red might distract from the rest of the model.

No, I got Darth Maul and Yoda for $310. After I get these parts they will both be complete for around $430 w/o instructions.
