I sent a query via TRU eBay after being thwarted in regular TRU chat. The response was similar to that posted by others on this forum:

" We regret to inform you that your entire order has been canceled due to an inventory error. Your full order will be refunded in full within the next 3-5 business days. You will receive an email confirmation form PayPal once the order has been refunded. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause you. 
 
As a token of our apology, we would like to offer you 10% off a future order with Toys "R" Us on eBay. To redeem this offer, simply reply to this email with your new order number and we will be happy to promptly request a refund for 10% off. 
 
Again, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this cancellation may have caused you. 
 
Thank you again for choosing Toys "R" Us on eBay. If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know and we will be happy to assist you." 

So I suspect we will all see refunds in time, but that won't prevent me from filing a case.

Anyone still waiting on pp to refund the money into your account from the tru ebay mess? I don't understand how payment can be instant but 5 days later they still holding onto my money for a refund that was issued.

I have two orders that haven't even been cancelled, but I messaged them to get the 10% off message back.  But yes, a lot of money in pending reimbursement.

i just called them said it could be til wednesday til i see it in my paypal account. Amazes me debit and credit purchases or refund are basically instant but paypal runs on 3 -5 business days. Really wish there was an alternative.

I'm still at the same point I was on the purchase date: PAID but no shipping / cancellation / refund... it's just sitting there.

Businesses routinely "sit on" money for a few days to earn interest.   If they can legally get away with it, it adds to the bottom line.

That's Paypal's mantra. But sitting on money when you have no intentions on delivering a product is criminal. It's not "Legal", they just know no one has any real firepower to deal with it, nor the time.

Just an FYI. Couple of my pending refunds went through so you may want to check your accounts if you are waiting.

I guess you're in a better spot than me - my status is still "You paid but the seller still needs to ship your item."

I ordered 6/01 and immediately paid that morning - but no status change: PAID / no shipping info / no PayPal refund... when I go to contact owner, it says to wait until after the 6/07 delivery date (today) before requesting assistance. (I don't use eBay enough to know how to deal with this situation.)

I had that on one of mine. I was able to request a refund this morning.

I called their 1800 number a couple of nights ago and they finally refunded me the next day.

What a f-ing mess with my ebay TRU orders.  I placed 2 orders containing multiple items, 1 order fully canceled & refunded and somehow the other 1 partially refunded.  When I asked if an item in the partially refunded order was going to be shipped, they kept referring to my other order... :mad:

Moral of the story: one should heed the wisdom of @exciter1

Not sure about that, but something didn't feel right to me this time.

I had that on one of mine. I was able to request a refund this morning. 

After no updates from TRU, finally decided to just cancel all orders (based on this chatter) and after multiple emails, PayPal was finally refunded.

This has been a horrible experience - I can only imagine what it was like for investors (I'm only a collector).

Sorry to be sort of off topic but why is My order status a subtopic of Daily Lego Deals in the forum menu? Just curious.
