Don't feel like you ever need to buy at retail.  Look for ways to stretch your dollar when buying.  Only exclusives need to be had at retail and there are some ways to reduce that cos.  Credit Card discounts etc.

 

When it comes to small sets  I have really focused on the smaller super hero sets. But  I am always looking for them to 25% off if not more.  Minifigures drive the purchase. 

 

But one set I have liked and added to my stock is the 75034 - Death Star Troopers.  It doesn't have the "named" characters.  But imperial guards and troopers just feels like a winner in the future.  It is still on the shelves but if it can be had at a discount I would add a few of these Episode 4 sets.
