In all seriousness I do not see the California port strike effecting Lego delivery

Lego has 3 main build plants in Denmark, Czech Republic and Mexico

Mexico would come by truck

Denmark and Czech Republic would be by ship and those should hit the East Coast

 

I think Pet Shop will be gone by March and Red 5 by June

I just called Lego about my order status on PS and the told me it was in warehouse now. Off course i asked if this set is going out, she looked in her computer and saw that it would be available until the END OF 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever happens it will be interesting to see how long this will stay. For me i just buy the amount i want and wait what will happen.

I don't know what she saw but I doubt she has more information than any of us here. She is just a clerk meanwhile retirement is most likely an upper-mid management decision. Also publishing this to the lower level employees could result in heavy internal trading and speculation and no sane company wants that.

hard to say. i was in the huge lego store in manhattan yesterday.  they seemed to have lots of new stock on everything.  one thing missing...Pet Shop.  Now maybe they'll get more but seemed odd they had everything else.

Limit of PS on LEGO Shop at Home is 5. So I bet it's a new production run. Oh~~~ bad news. lol

Even the Town Hall is not yet retired.  Selling before "Retired Product" is throwing money away.  I backordered another 5x 10218 during 2xVIP this week.  I think this is the "Dark Horse" modular that a lot of you will miss out on.  It's my personal favourite.

I've backordered 20x (the limit) Valentine Sets!  I hope to sell for 3x in 2016 as they won't arrive in time for this year.  I have one already for the lady though.

Fact is, PS is the set which is longer on sale than all the other houses....so, it will be the next eol piece.

The CS at lego does not know more than us up until the moment the set is almost sold out and stock is drying up. I think this set will retire soon but stock levels are still healthy. At least at S&****. In shops it completely disappeared. My 0.02

The reason they have a lot seems to be that their pricing is above msrp and the 9%? tax in the city. I didn't touch the AA quite a few weeks back since the prices on ebay at the time means that I will lose money after fees.

well yeah, it's manhattan and prices are higher.  i only buy sets on sale there, but that doesn't mean others don't pay the higher price, because they do.  the foot traffic through that store is incredible all day long and it's not locals for the most part buying so that's why they can charge those prices.

looks still out of stock to me shipping in 30 days. sort of like the detective office i ordered on jan 1 oos shipping 30 days that arrived on my doorstep 7 days later.

Doubt it was the Rockefeller Center one......it's not that big.
