And up until a month ago, that would have been a popular decision. I wonder after DS events, how many have the bottle to go in deep on this one at full RRP.

I'm glad I flipped my 10 Death Stars into two Sandcrawlers.

I am sticking at 3.

5 here. Not planning on getting any more unless I see a great deal somewhere or I'm able to pick one up post-retirement.

This set is still pretty widely available in Europe. I'm curious to see how fast it will be sold out once the magical "retiring soon" tag appears.

Where do you see it widely available? Only Lego has it.

Here, plenty of stores stock it.

Depends on the country, but if you don't limit yourself to shopping at German stores: Toysrus.fr, fnac, ...

It was available at Belgian retailer Fun as well, but as I said in the retiring soon thread, they are not getting any more stock.

EDIT: incidentally it appears toysrus.fr is having a -15% sale, but it's not really worth it cause the retail price is 40€ more than in Germany, so you're better of buying it at the German lego stores.

I've got my 3. Might buy more when it hits retiring soon but not before. 

It's a great model and a must have for any collectors who come out of the dark ages post retirement but retirement dates on UCS sets are no longer predictable, so I'm not commiting a lot of capital or shelf space to them.

Not everything gets a retiring soon tag. If demand is high it will move directly to sold out or c2c.
