And this is why I've had to switch to a weekly quota/budget... except when I don't. 

I wasn't going to buy anymore this month either.  My wallets worst Nightmare, Amazon,  leaves me no choice in cases like this morning.

Any idea why this might have dropped in price briefly?  Mistake?  Or will we see future price drops... I'd say it was a mistake but the UCS Tie Fighter discounting has me thinking otherwise.

I wouldn't think a mistake. The no discounts on exclusives ended 12/31/2015.

i agree.  i think lego has somewhat eased off the exclusive discount ban for slow selling pricey sets.  if AoH and Batcave get discounted next. my theory might be true...from a certain point of view.

Those are block discounts for themes so don´t count. When the likes of Amazon EU start stocking and reducing exclusives  again, we will know there has been a change.

Heck, at this point I might just build the one that I have and not worry about trying to accumulate any more.

I just got two in from tru in a box that is almost 4 feet long. What the hell are they thinking shipping in this box? There is zero padding and both boxes have damage and creasing.
