I wonder  how many of those resold so far have actually been opened and built.

  • Throw back Thursday!  One year ago today I made my smartest move as a brickvestor: First thing in the morning, I bought my first Town Hall on double VIP, just hours before they went out of stock.  I l

I suspect the price will move to $700 quite quickly. At that price bricklinking becomes an option. The good news is there is a large amount of rare dark orange pieces required to build it which will keep the price trending higher. $1k by the end of the year. There is a huge and growing audience for this theme with deep pockets who want to own every set. These will be easy to move even in the $1k - $2k range just like MS, CC and GG.

And down to 147 listings!

Can't we get a countdown banner on brickpicker homepage for the TH listings? Like they had the years before the new millennium started?

I think all modulars ,will go up and up , actually,I am starting to pray now, bought 3 more GE today ,total 460euro

Alot more end users already have GE in their collection. Most missed out on TH. Resellers stockpiled GE but most missed out on TH.

TH is the centerpiece for the modulars collection and is a must have:

that is fantastic... sorry, but im stealing this =D

Yep TLG figured out 10224 was not selling because it was not big enough. They are reintroducing it with a $299.99 price point:

that looks death star sized... probably 399$ =D

I still see this set growing in value day by day. 800 euro by Xmas 2015 is very likely.

Uhm... really? Lowest price on Bricklink now is

Please remember it has only just officially retired and some people who bought it early for 140 or less will be happy to sell for double and move on. If you play the long game then you have to be patient but 600 euros should be attainable and maybe 800 in the m

In USD it could well do. For the Eurozone I think that 500-600 euros would be a realistic level and if no other modular retires early it should be possible.

I think this set has the potential to do extraordinarily well. It should be the centerpiece of every modular display, unless they come up with something that can overshadow it.. I think it has the potential to be one of the top performers in that line of sets. I wish I would have backed up the truck on this one!

Just picked one up today in Australia, seal code 33S4. Got it off a reseller, apparently only held it for 2 days so these are still floating around on the outskirts of the city here in sydney I believe

Down to 141 on BL now. Sales in USD seem to have reached an impasse as there have only been 5 this month and none in the last 10 days compared with 25 in Jan.

Stock in Euros is selling on a comparable level to last month so values in EUR should slowly come back in line with USD over the next months.

As a general overview there are roughly double the listings of Town Hall over GG and slightly less than double the number of GG over CC. The other retired modulars (FB, GE) are hovering around the 450 units mark if we eliminate the shop in Taiwan that claims to have over 500 of each.

I thought the shop which claims to have 590 of each is located in Hong Kong... how in the world they have that many in hands and the shop it's in Hong Kong... crazy...

The ones in Hong Kong could be fake though. I am curious but I don't think anyone would be brave enough to find out.
