February 16, 201411 yr So, there are a lot of negative eBay threads (and rightly so) but I wanted to make one about POSITIVE stories about eBay...so I will lead off. I sold a Funhouse minus the minifigures to a guy who wanted to do an in person exchange. We were emailing back and forth and were having a hard time finding a mutually agreeable time. Finally I called him (he left his number) and I said I would just leave it on my porch, he could just slide the cash under the mat. (Normally, no I wouldn't do this, but had been communicating with him for about a week and felt okay with it). Not only did he leave the cash but a few extra dollars too. Cool! I passed on the good karma by giving pizza delivery girl a few extra dollar tip.
February 16, 201411 yr Leaving box on the porch....? sliding money under your mat .. sounds very strange. I would have just avoided the whole situation. Also who wants a funhouse with no minifigures? lol for the price people are selling just the set no minifigures on ebay its better to just keep the bricks
February 16, 201411 yr The few extra dollards was in case you didn't have the right denomonations and you needed change... THIEF!
February 16, 201411 yr You should have just met him at the phone booth down at the docks next to the abandoned warehouse. That would have freaked the cops out.
February 16, 201411 yr I bought a small item locally once. The guy dropped it in my mailbox and refunded the shipping charges...I ended up giving him the shipping charges back. Same day delivery and that effort deserved it.
