I do, but that's partly because I want one for myself and missed out when everyone else got it on deep clearance.

if you want one for yourself, yes, for investment try find something else.

when paying online for toys r us does anyone have problems with giftcards using the checkout? just got ghosted out of 164 dollars because of their checkout system have a case opened to resolve issue but when I pay with paypal and gift card I lost a 10 dollar merchandise credit weeks ago not happy

It's a good pick up, may not be as good as VC but one thing for sure is that it is also less stocked among investors than VC. I'm also seriously considering 3368 the space center. It's already retired and hard to find below MSRP so $62 is not bad at all.

 

Also, this sale could become decent if they lower the price of the old technic sets to MSRP.

I'm sorry but Toys R Us is worthless.  After the jacked up prices, the 50% off one of the sets does not seem like much of a deal.  Every time I go there, I always ask myself, why in the hell am I here.

I ended up purchasing some of the new Marvel sets for my personal collection. They were MSRP in store plus the BOGO. I also had $10 in rewards to spend, so I was pretty happy with the final cost.

Just go in and exchange them.

For me the best think about TRU is they are a seller of last resort, since their prices are so high they are the last to sell out and have stock when no other retailer does.  When you forget to buy that last Unimog for yourself to build and teach your kids engineering principles, cause over christmas you were to busy buying tons of FB and WVC, well TRU has you covered, yeah you don't get much of a discount but its better than buying on ebay or bricklink, etc.  Take currently, they are the last chance for you to get MOM, RH, Unimog, VC.  As a collector and lego fan first I appreciate this greatly especially when I just want the lego's to play with or for presents for others.

Just go in and exchange them.

I always tell folks, "It's amazing what you can get done between midnight and 3am."  You just save the TRU exchanges when you're making milk runs.

Sorry you've had bad luck. TRU online has been great for me. Wish I could say the same about Wal-Mart!
