Bought one GE from Amazon yesterday afternoon, received shipping confirmation @2:16 am today.

Just got mine I ordered 2 days ago from Amazon... the boxes were rough.  Beggars/choosers and all that but my guess is these were someone else's returns...

If the limit is five I can order five According to them. I didn't order any before that date and none since. Wasn't gonna risk it after my limit .

Im curious why the back order date is not being pushed back further and further, seems to have leveled off at september 29th.

Not arguing with you but if they put a limit of 5 I don't see why they would ban me for ordering five total. Not ordering, waiting a day and ordering another five. I'll take my chances that a bunch of people try that stuff and ahead of me in the ban line!

It's "Sold Out" now but my guess is something like this:

 

They know they will receive X GEs from the factory on Sept 19 (just an example), Y GEs on Sept. 26, and Z GEs on the 29th. Beyond that, there is no more stock currently scheduled to arrive. So they allow X backorders to ship on the 19th, then the date changes to the 26th, then they allow Y more backorders, date changes to 29th. Once Z more backorders are sold it changes to Sold Out.

So, known codes presumably?

Both look like they were shipped via coin laundry.

Just got word from Lego the five I ordered 7/30 are shipping on the 27th.

I ordered one on 7/28... since that time (when they said it was on back-order) no word from Lego at all

I received my two that I ordered from Amazon a few days ago.  Both boxes are in pretty rough shape and the seals loose.  I can't make out the seal codes, but I feel safe saying these weren't from a new batch.

Well I emailed customer service and got a response back saying they will be shipped on the 27th. I hope so! Will be excited to get.

GE, HH, and Sopwith all going sold out and most likely retired. Gotta love it!

In wrong thread but with GE SC And HH going since pet shop is not at amazon, walmart or toysrus and target has jacked up price but LEGO Shop at Home still has limit 5 does anyone believe this set is going tooand buying now?

I picked up two more on Thursday form, when Amazon had them in stock. Unfortunately one resembles a pancake. They have a seal code of 27R4 for those who are interested. Since they are sold out, Amazon offered me 10% off the total order.  They have given me up to 20% in the past, but I am not going to push my luck. $270 for two is fair to me.
