I'm nothing but nice because I worked through my undergrad and graduate degrees as a CSR......even when they absolutely refused both times I was 100% cordial.

I bet you have "reseller scum" on your file with them...

We certainly have some high level execs from TLG among us.......I mean how else could some of you speak with such absolute certainty about these sets. I would think having such a high profile job with

LEGO Shop at Home will not give discounts, the only option is to return for a refund.

They did with me. I got my damaged Rover for free.

Everytime i get a damaged set and ask for replacement they put me on hold to check if a return is needed. It must depend on price/size of the set. Never got a freebie or a discount though as all i buy from them are pretty much large exclusives

I can see on the tracking page that my GE is sitting a few blocks from me at the FedEx facility waiting to get on the truck.

Maybe I am starting to feel a little bit sick at work *cough* ;)

Same with me. I don't buy a ton from LEGO Shop at Home, but the smallest sets I buy from them are the modulars. Just a month ago, I received a GE that had some damage and they gave me a discount. Maybe I'm extremely fortunate, and now grateful. :)

Today's variation - from "Sold Out" to "Call to check". Guy on the moped was not sure how many he brought?

that would be two cases and a total of 4.

Two GE delivered today, seals have 27R4. Small batch, hopefully?

hopefully

Let the madness begin.

Let us see how quick GE will raise to 300, if possible at all

It will show the hoarding levels of this set.

Nah, guy on moped is now only delivering to Lego by demand. You call, then he'll go pick up the exact amount. ;)

Mine also has 27R4.

I received mine today but forgot to open the outer box and check the seals and damage. I'll update later.

I received my $249 versions from Target today, and they also have 27r4.  So at least we know they (probably) aren't hoarding old stock to scalp later.

Later?!?! They're scalping now!

What does 27r4 mean

Nobody knows for sure, but it's likely to mean 27th week in 2014 - which puts it some time in June.

hopefully

if i take myself then i have/had only "X" FB vs. "3X" GE.  (where X=very small integer) so it may not be the extent of 3X overall but my guesstimate that it would be closer to 2X or even more

If you paid $249 for a GE at retail they already have your scalp.

I'm waiting to see if they drop the price later so I can price match, or PM to another store, or just return.

But thank you for the constructive feedback.

Okay, so two2seven is in Dallas, TX; xeeej is in the generic "USA"; I am in Nebraska. Did all the orders come from Shop at Home? Did everyone get a FedEx tracking number that shows origination in MS? If so, it's reasonable to conclude this was all the same batch.

If anyone else has purchased recently, please post the store and an approximate location, or if it was from LEGO Shop at Home post the point of origin used for shipping. If we can confirm all sets came from the same location at the same time and have the same batch number, we might be able to figure out if it's really winding down. If, on the other hand, we have people in Maine and Oregon and Michigan posting new purchases with different batch numbers ending in R4, we can assume multiple shipments went out recently and there are more sets hiding out there/ possibly more in production.

Yeah keeping them at almost double retail is pretty risky.

Lego Shop@Home. It originated in South Haven, MS and was picked up at Olive Branch, MS. Like everyone else my seal code is 27R4.
