July 22, 201411 yr LOL... http://www.target.com/p/lego-creator-grand-emporium-10211/-/A-13782397 , assuming you are rich enough to afford it... anyone feel Target is as evil as TRU now? seriously.
July 22, 201411 yr Seriously, now that I have the space, don't be surprised to see 99x something appearing in my Brickfolio if it's a good set during a promotion. I'd have done this for Mars Rovers several times if I could. Regarding the GE going EOL, I've heard from another source that the Pet Shop is likely to retire first due to disappointing sales. I already anticepated on this and bought some extra PS's. Cause I also noticed them being scarce lately in physical shops in my area.
July 22, 201411 yr anyone feel Target is as evil as TRU now? seriously. Even higher than CDN retail Sent from my Unknown using Brickpicker mobile app
July 22, 201411 yr anyone feel Target is as evil as TRU now? seriously. If charging market rate is evil then we are all bad, bad people.
July 22, 201411 yr If you visit be sure to wave to Agent Harris. (Well played Ed) I am not stupid... I will not use pay phones from gas stations in Oyster Bay, Long Island.
July 22, 201411 yr TRU isn't evil, just frustratingly unreasonable. Target on the other hand generally seems to have its act together, and may even be smart enough to attempt to milk the investor market...which is also not evil, but rather brilliant.
July 22, 201411 yr I just called target customer service which sounded like it was outsourced to some 3rd world country. I asked them why the price hike and the lady said the 149.99 price was a sale price and that the 249.99 price was the regular everyday price. Such BS! It was at MSRP on their site forever and no label indicating it was a sale price of any kind.

I chatted with TRU and asked why their price was higher before Target jacked theirs, I was told it was because their version had more features.

I'd be more satisfied with "Our market researched group noticed that Lego no longer carries this, thus we can increase our price to reflect availability" And then for a laugh, say "Plus, people on eBay say it's rare".
July 22, 201411 yr Target is not ebay, they should be selling at rrp and not an inflated "market value." If Target is holding stock back and selling at inflated prices once a set's scarce, then we're all screwed because Target has greater buying power than any of us. Not saying that's what they're doing, but we'd never know if they were.

I wonder if they got them back from him... :-)
July 22, 201411 yr Target is not ebay, they should be selling at rrp and not an inflated "market value." Why? They are trying to make money too.
July 22, 201411 yr Last time someone bought 7 or 8 of them by mistake, and it made Target OOS again. I wonder if they got them back from him... :-) target is playing it right. they have sale most of the time which are below MSRP for regular customers. for all those "hoarderers" and "people with unlimited $$$" they jack up the price as soon as the set vanishes from other retailers. this is basically to cash out on the pent up demand. for some sets they will succeed for some sets they will be stuck for ever holding and it will be tales of "never EOL'ing target Exclusives" like #9494 @ 69.99
July 22, 201411 yr There were 14 available at Target a few minutes ago; 6 now. Crazy BPers... Nevermind, I forgot about 90 day return policy....
July 22, 201411 yr There were 14 available at Target a few minutes ago; 6 now. how do you see the inventory?
July 22, 201411 yr Crazy BPers... Nevermind, I forgot about 90 day return policy.... how do you see the inventory? You can't directly, beyond the item limit. I was backing into the 14 based on the fact that there are 6 left now & I had just gotten 8. (speculative; 90-day; return?)

(speculative; 90-day; return?) lets say you get @ $249. no tax. your cost out the door RC=236.55 lets say it retires. and for you to make any $ on it by selling via amazon or ebay you have to net @ the very least 240.00 which mean your selling price would be at least 300. (fees 45 and shipping 15=60) and even then your profit is 3.45 (is it worth it?) i mean FB hasn't even hit $300 yet has it? or even if it has then its almost 7 months since its retirement. @ least to me the GE bump is already reflected @ the price of target etc...

July 22, 201411 yr I would never keep at $249. I'll be looking to price match. how would you do that? target online does not price-match any other sites.
