I went to Legoland Toronto last Sunday and it has few GE there.

Two left in downtown disney. I didn't ask about any in the back. There were three left just a few hours ago. Are these the last few we will ever see at full retail?

Thanks for the heads up - TRU Canada has a limit of one per customer at the moment.  Since the chances of getting one at a B&M looks slim, I'm ordering now rather than later.  This will go OOS as fast as the SSD at TRU.CA once Canadian BPers get home from work and read this thread.

 

Btw the one I ordered from S&**** earlier in this thread (when it listed the expected ship date of June 26, before going to in 30 days then sold out) has been shipped one day early. 

Interesting, earlier today they had limit of two...still 2 GE's listings on their site haha.  One indicates 'sold out' while the other listing currently has 2 limit per order.

 

Nice, you might of got one of the last few orders from LEGO Shop at Home, polybag and vip pts is always nice compared to nothing.

What does GE stock look like in US lego stores. I had planned to hit the one at Fashion Mall in Vegas to use my VIP points to grab one since US/CAN VIP points are equivalent... Think there is a chance of any being there in second week of July? 

 

I am going there today....buying them all....I mean all 3-4....lol....no way GE stay till July with me in town.

I don't know... We saw quite a few sets retiring in late 2012, notably the exodus of Harry Potter. I don't know official numbers, but it seems that LEGO has been growing the number of sets produced consistantly, so it would only be natural for each consecutive year to have more retirements, right? We just need to hope and pray that 90% of those new sets aren't Death Stars...

Very widely available in the UK without restriction apart from 5 max at LEGO Shop at Home so I think the US will see EOL first.

Yeah, my gut told me to get them (2 SSDs at Lego Discovery Centre) but my wallet said no to +$1000 bill.  I'm sure some happy investor picked them up already or by Friday latest haha.  

 

Can't collect and invest in everything, I'm just betting that picking up GE's is better short/long term than SSD's.  Too many variables.  Don't want to start any battle haha.  Time will tell.

Yeah, I was there Sat.  I didn't actually examine the boxes but from a ft away they looked good.  At this stage in the game, if it doesn't have a dent it's pretty good...especially being out in the open like that where kids can push it off the shelf being low.

True. Its hard to invest in everything. I am hoping the Grand Emporium has a higher ROI than the super star destroyer myself.

But who knows what will happen years from now. Probably will pick up some more grand emporium before its too late.
