Just for the record, "Sold Out" again at Lego US (it went back to order-able after my prior post)

 

Did anyone else just get an e-mail stating that your GE Lego order has shipped?  I just got an e-mail with shipment confirmation.  It's on the way!!!

It is EOL so no more to go to brand stores. Only random restocks at LEGO Shop at Home if they find a few pallets lying around that were buried or overlooked. No other modulars will be retired this year.

Are you sure this is not just for the flashback shredder? I recieved an email indicating the shredder was shipped.

it's probably just the flashback shredder. I got the shipping notice too, but my GEs are still backordered.

Strange, it's came back again "available" in EU and UK ...this morning it was "shipping the 22 july"

In Europe there is a production run from June/2014 with the sealcode 25S4. So i guess that GE will be at available in Europe till end of the year through LEGO ONLINE-STORE.

D'oh!!!!!  Yep, you guys are right.  I didn't look closely enough.  I have never ordered from LEGO Shop at Home so I didn't know they shipped stuff seperately.  I thought it would all come together.

Just ordered 2 from LEGO Shop at Home US, said it went through....we'll see.

Just picked up the last two from the Lego Store in Chicago Water Tower Place.

Old stock is popping up and LEGO is selling it.

This set is finished and it it's final death throes! It would be great if DS would hit Sold out as well.  I would order 5 but alas I cannot, oh well.

July 20 we will know better. If they ship backorders and don't bring availability up, and the codes on the shipped units are still 18R4, then we are back to square one (i.e. we have no idea what's next). If they ship backorders and bring up availability, and codes are newer, then we are back to square zero (i.e. new production run). 

 

If they ship USA backorders with 24S4 codes (redistribution of the leftover stock), then it could maybe possibly be a sign of EOL

Maybe it's the perfect storm of GE, SSD, and Death Star all retiring mid-2014.  My Brickfolio will see quite the boost if this happens. 

 

 

Ok, I don't actually think all 3 of these will retire soon, it's just wishful thinking.
