Not too shabby at all. I do confess to wishing these later sets were a bit larger in scale, as I found recent releases to be underwhelming.

lego must have figured that most of their customers have limited display and storage space, which partly explains he insane popularity of CMF series. The architecture series, being small sets are a perfect excuse to fill up a display cabinet, and one can admire the world best architecture lego sets right in front of them.

Well, the CMF has many reasons for it's success.

I was comparing this new set more to the Robie House and Imperial Hotel, which seem a bit larger. The last couple of Architecture sets seem to have dropped off a bit.

Robie and IH are from the Architect Series. Trevi and the last few releases UN, Eiffel are from the landmark series, perhaps that is the difference. I thought the UN was a great build although a small platform.

I didn't even realise it was segregated further, but that certainly makes sense. 

I agree with chipbee and would go further to say that these become display pieces on people's desks where real estate is at a premium. Architecture may be a theme where the smaller sets sell a lot better because of where they ultimately live.

Thanks for posting, I'll likely buy this as I often go to Rome on business and pass this every time.  It's a great city and I'm hoping they are cheaper than the UK (Amazon IT often is) for when I go there next.  Does that mean a coliseum is imminent?

I've been lucky and seen it 3 times since 2007. It's prob my fav sightseeing place in Rome.

This set really captures the essence despite the smallish size

All this is coming from me and I don't even like the architecture theme.

Looks great, I like it.

 

I'm awaiting arrival of a UN for my desk at work.  I don't have a lot of desk space, and really plan to build and display for a few months, and then put it away and sell it used down the line.  I'll replace it with something else from this line when I'm done with it.  Trevi Fountain looks like the one I'll be replacing it with.

Wow that is a nice set. Think I'll nab some gold coins from my daughter's now forgotten Friends Advent calendar to toss in there

Looks v. good... Had my honeymoon in Rome.. Will buy one just for that. actually it will make a nice anniversary gift. Hope it comes out by June

Looks good, although could do being larger. Saw another model of the Trevi Fountains at the Brick City exhibition by Warren Elsmore at Paisley museum earlier this month. Got a picture of it and will try and get it uploaded today.

I used to live near that fountain, so happy to see this!

I have Pisa now and will definitely pick this one up once it's out.  They are 2 places I have visited before and would love to get back to one day.  Viva Italia!

These are so much better than the original Arch sets. I just don't think the John Hancock center and the Willis tower, etc. look that good. However the UN and this one look really nice.

That does look cool. There is a bigger Trevi Fountain in the Brick City book that looks good as well.

I heard about this set rumor around the start of the month from The Brick Fan and was really looking forward to whatever came out. Well, here is another on my list of Architecture sets I actually do like.

While I admire you idea and think I would definitely work, I can't but think about how many sets I can buy for that kind of money
