Arggh, click the video and watch, swabby!

I hate that they make the flick-fire missiles so much cooler in the video.

Don't they always? It's like the menu at a restaurant. The food always looks better before you order it.

My local toy store has clearance that includes set #70810, it goes for $189.

What is the general thought on this set? Will it have a long life span and how will it do after EOL? IMO it is a beautiful set, a ship and has Minifigs. But then again it is Lego Movie.

Thank you guys in advance.

That's the cheapest you'll probably ever see it being an exclusive LEGO Shop at Home won't every discount it. I don't think eol is anywhere close but who knows how they are handling the movie line

I think it doesn't harm to get one at this price.

Be sure to double-check the seals...

I would get this set at that price. The set may take a while to retire, but you will probably never see it at that price ever again.

very true.

better question yet is how a local toy store has this set for sale?

I'd check it over, but you have literally no risk there. its not going to ever sell for less than $250 meaning you will get your money back.

Really depends how is the dutch shipping which only or mostly the dutch people aka him knows..... I know shipping for me on this set would be 70$ worldwide (priority airmail, box, + insurance)

now 190$ is 140

Right I definitely mean selling within your own area. The set is going to grow in my eyes though so I would buy it to hold anyway.

That would be a good price to hold it, but if I found one at that price, it would be build as soon as I got home.

Great deal! Definitely a price worth building at. Also if you want to make money on it, then you`re in for a hold, at least for a while. But that would be the case at pretty much any price, it`s a huge ship that will do well once EOL.

Looks like a good deal. If you aren't financially strapped and have a few bucks to spend, then go for it. You could probably sell it for msrp after it goes eol and still make $$$ off of it.

Opportunity to buy this brand new from a local shop for

This set is a BOSS only for true collectors and pimps.

I'm building it today. Crazy set, very impressive. It's going to dwarf the Queen Anne.

Just bought mine! Seeing all these exciting posts, I can't wait to build it.

I have 2 of these now. The second one I got from a 3PS on Amazon. Box and seals look OK, but it sounds like there's more stuff "rolling around" loose inside.  Can't tell if it's a broken bag, or just large pieces that weren't in a bag to begin with.  Probably just worried about nothing.  Anyone here can tell me how many bags / what comes loose inside the box?  I tried to search the "sealed bags" thread, but couldn't find it.

Per Eurobricks review:

The Inner bags are many in number, you get a total of 17 normal bags.
You get one #1 bag, two #2 bags, two #3 bags, one #4 bag, two #5 bags, three #6 bags, three #7 bags, two #8 bags, and one #9 bag.
Additionally you get a bag with other parts for the ship including the massive fans.

You also have large loose hull pieces in there so that could be what you are hearing.  If you have two weigh them both and see if they match up.

I just picked up the Double-Decker Coach set for my son. The Unikitty fig is a mess when my kids play with that set. It'so tail and head keeps falling off. Do people have with 70803 have the same problem? If so, anyone think of something other than using the Kragle for keeping Unikitty together?

This is one of the best exclusives in the roster right now. And a ship. A very exquisite one indeed. I am convinced that it will be a gold mine down the line.

All the unikitties we have suffer from the same problem. With only one stud attaching them there just isn't enough friction.

To fix lack of friction, try using something like cellophane wrap between the bricks. You should be able to cut a small enough piece that you won't see it. Paper is too thick and rips. The plastic wrap should stretch nicely.
