That said, I really hope this is on its last legs.  I think a 1.5-2 year run for this is not enough to create overhoarding.

Quite possible, especially if demand is as weak as many have speculated here.

 I have 3 of these and even though lego movie sets were too popular, I really think this is a unique set that can get a nce boost when the Lego movie 2 comes out....

I am not really sure about this set. At retail price (gift cards etc) I will probably grab a couple 2-3. If they get hit with a 10-20% discount i'll probably dive a bit deeper and snag 5-10.

I was looking at customer images of this ship displayed and in most cases it looks extremely out of place and awkward to display. Only in a few scenario's did it seem to fit. (Generally alone on a rustic dresser). Because its not memorable and has a unique style, I don't think this will hold very many peoples interest. I love ships and wanted to love this but i'm finding a hard time doing so.

I have a couple pirate ships on display and love them, but this one just doesn't seem to fit well with them imo (along with the LOTR pirate ship). I have 0 for investment currently, and am torn if i should get some.

However my opinion isn't a reflection on how this set will do. Pretty sure many people were down on the Black Pearl and QAR pre-EOL "discounted everywhere, line is selling terribly" etc, and look at them now. I do feel $300+ CAD would be better spent going towards BP/QAR/Imperial Flagship for pirate ship lovers.

Are you talking discounts in the US as I didn't think exclusives were often discounted?

I don't have one but I am a fan. Very steampunkesque.

My legogo store got none, but target got some...with GC and Red card not bad price at all...

Good idea. The stand-alone Metalbeard (out of 70807) is brilliant - and full sized.

MB that comes with SC is to scale. You buy the other one it will be too big.

Got my funds for 4 more but its gone from Target...at least my order of 2 shipped day before.

Never seen a large exclusive thread so quiet after it goes sold out on LEGO Shop at Home. Low interest in this beast. Hope it's a sleeper. This is one set I don't expect to see any 'check back in six months' or 'we are making more' nonsense.

i think will do ok not a lot of demand, so i am sticking with 4 or 5...

Last time it was in stock at TRU was 8/3/15. This set isn't on the BP stock monitor page perhaps swap it out with Benny's.

I have four, think its a modest number for this set, its going to be interesting to see how it performs once its officially gone, with the next movie in a few years it may bump it up nicely around that time....hoping my 26 Benny's do well too
