I know I have the receipt, but its in all of last years tax stuff and I really don't feel like digging through all that.

 

Can Target look it up based on your purchase history on your Redcard? I can't seem to find a way to look up my purchases on the redcard online but I feel like they should be able to.

Not exactly by receipt but yes they can.  If you bring the item in and tell them you don't have the receipt they will scan the item and your Redcard and generally you will get a refund (cheapest one if you had bought more than one).

When I return at Target, I always hand them my red card, then the item(s). Always work. I was surprised the other day that I was even able to return online item with the red card lookup. I had the packaging slip but the CS just scanned my red card, then the item, and found the order.

you don't even need the item. they can look up all purchases simply by scanning the redcard.
