I think you guys might have stumbled upon some 10212s that happened to have been returned by previous Amazon customers for whatever reason - remorseful buyer, or a collector who won't accept the condition of the box - either way, bad decisions on their part if this were true. Great point, but I would expect those to be sold by "warehouse deals" (aka amazon-used). That is how I got a open outer-box (sealed inner-boxes) Death Star 10188 for $308 shipped... I took a chance since it said "used" but it was 100% sealed (except the outer box) and 100% complete.

Also these were a pre order expected to be back in stock on Feb 13. I think it was just an error on Amazon's part.

Appears as though this was a scam, but not a drop-shipping one. The negative feedbacks are starting to roll in. He just never shipped the items.

As you may know TRU is having a buy 1 get 1 half off sale today. What you may not know is that TRU does not keep all their sets they have in stock on their shelves. They keep some in the back and no one knows about them unless you ask the manager. Also the sets they usually have in the back are big ones that take up a lot of space, included in those sets is lego 10212 imperial shuttle. a set that has an MSRP of 260 and is selling on EBAY right now for about 340. I asked the maager at my local toys r us if he had any in stock and he was able to get me 3. so basically what im saying is you can buy this sold out set for retail from toys r us if you have some time to sit on hold while TRU's horrible customer service tries to help you. GOOD LUCK! (and if you live near valley stream i already bought all the shuttles from your store) (let me know what you think and if you were able to get any.)

Frankly, I'm surprised metsrock507 found THREE Imperial Shuttle, let alone one. This is the set we all believe was already EOL'd - I'm not sure why the heck it would be sitting in back of TRU all this time?

no their online inventory is not accurate, call your local store and ask for the set by name and they will check their localized inventory for it. don't drive out unless you know for sure they have it. for all i know it was a fluke stocking error just in the store by me, but knowing toys r us this is happening all over the country.

Sorry for not introducing myself but I went to my local TRU Friday to pick up the Y-Wing 30% off and they had 2 Imperial Shuttles also. The box on one was pretty rough, but Lego tape is still intact. I was able to get $15 off of each since they were having $15 off $75. I was really surprised because I've been in there a few times and hadn't seen one since December 31st or so.

medival market village I saw that at my local toys r us but I dint not pick it up because it $109.99 and I already have one but if they have it at you're toys r us worth getting with BOGO

No one really said anything when Amazon was sitting on hundreds of set at US$238 just last Christmas even though it was widely known to be going EOL. Now everyone and their mothers wants to get a few! :-) $340 on eBay minus 10% fees for eBay and Paypal = $306. Your cost is $260 + tax + effort to pack the set and get it shipped. Is it really worth the effort to sell now? Ah, the power of hindsight.

Very true......If you are lucky enough and can still find this set for $260 be prepared to hold onto it for awhile if you want to sell for a profit. While I am a firm believer that this set will slowly increase in value over time, it is not a set that you can turn around and sell for a nice profit if you purchase it for $260, at least not yet. In my opinion (and ive been wrong before) this set is a low risk, slow growth but high return on investment for those that are willing to be patient and hold onto it for a couple years.

Can someone who bought the shuttle at toys r us give me its toys r us inventory number? or anyone who knows? so my local toys r us can check? I want to see if any of them in Virginia have them! Thanks

the six digit TRU code is either 090996 or 958602. i dont know how these codes work so i could be wrong, but a better way to see if they have the set in stock is to have them search "star wars" in their inventory and have them sort the results by price (highest first) it should be the 2nd or 3rd most expensive star wars item in the store. good luck!
