10212 - UCS: Imperial Shuttle

Any thoughts on this? it was released sep 2010, its a old set, on sale, out of strock for 30 days, i think this will be a great set for investment purposes. Plus its on sale right now for $200, free ship regularly $250 and i would get free shipping, no tax and the chrome TC14!

After the empire. Or someone messed up their bricklink order.

  • Not even in the same ballpark.

  • Little update. I did 7 order for the 400 part missing. Cost me 80 euros of part and something like 50 euros of shipping and fees... I think I have one order for 1,5 euros of part and 6 euros of s

I passed on this myself because there are no photos and the buyer only has 75 feedback but anyone out to take a little more risk here it is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LEGO-IMPERIAL-SHUTTLE-10212-FACTORY-SEALED-/150989576870?pt=Building_Toys_US&hash=item2327ae1aa6

Hmmmmmmmmmm...........

My thoughts exactly. I would love to jump on this but there is just too much risk here I think.

As much as I know that E-Bay would likely cover if this is not legit, it is just too fishy. All his feedback is from low-dollar stuff, then all the sudden quantity of 4 higher dollar items. Whats that smell...?

Yeah I think BP members should pass on this one....

Yeah, maybe I shouldn't have posted this one. I don't want to lead anyone into a bad auction. Stephen maybe you can delete this post?

wow that was fast. i went to take a look and it was all bought by the same person!

May the force be with them. ;)

Hopefully that person will get the items. How much was the Imperial Shuttle at regular retail price?

No, no, don't delete. People need to make informed decisions and the more examples of these that are seen, the better. I think that the discussion that we are having will help.

The retail price was $259 I believe. Amazon had them for sale for $239 for a while. Looks like they are going for around $300 on eBay lately.

I monitor eBay's new LEGO listings all day long and I see a lot of crap but every now and then I see something that could pass as legit but it is borderline. I would rather post it here and let everyone make up their own mind than not post it at all. If anyone thinks I shouldn't be posting this stuff just let me know and I will definitely back off. The last thing I want to do is lead a BP member into a bad deal.

His seller feedback isn't impressive but I would've taken a chance. eBay protects buyers...

He has them up again. Listing title says they are a Private Auction, but he did not set those parameters when he created the listing.

This is very fishy IMO, I would stay away!!

You know some people don't care if its a scam as long as they got it at a good price right??? Just keep perpetuating the cycle people.........

Actually, he looks to be a trading card dealer. I used to deal in sports cards and the such back in the day. Card dealers like to turn items for quick profit. He looks to have no idea what that set is worth. I could be wrong but I think he's legit. He has bought and sold a bunch in the last few months. Just my opinion. I would have taken the chance and bought from him.

Lol the only way he is making a profit at that price is if it is NOT legit.......sorry dude its has to be some type of scam.

Yeah he would've had to purchased the set for under $200 in order to maybe break even selling it at $240. There's a reason his feedback sucks! Stay away people!!!

I should clarify.......It is my opinion that this is a scam by just looking at it, no one knows for sure except the seller.

While this is without a doubt a scam of some sort, and I don't think he obtained these for under $200, I must say that it is at least a possibility. They've been obtainable for $195 at TRU and under $200 at amazon in the past, and I obtained all my main inventory for under $180 each at S @ ****.

Tried to get one but apparently I was too late already. Still shows the 259.99 price but does not allow me to check out. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00883VGJK/ref=oos_itemTitle_0

What??????? Amazon, this is retired. Let's leave it that way. Although I wouldn't mind picking up a couple more if this is true.

And that's it. The price is not showing now, only 3rd party sellers. Didn't last long.

Yeah, that was really strange. I almost think it was an error.
