What Lego set did you sell today and for how much?

Since we have the buying thread, I thought we could have a selling thread too. Let guys, and girls, let others know sets they have moved, maybe returns that they realized and the timeframe it took to get there. If this is lame, well, I guess it will fall to the depths of the forum, here goes. Sold a sealed 7199 IJ Temple of Doom for $200, purchased for $115 6 months ago I have others, but this is just to give you an idea.

That guy just doesn't sell. I can barely give them away. I parted out 10x 70803 to sell the minifigs to cover the cost of the pieces I kept. Barely made my money back.

Really?  Wow.  I'm actually surprised.  I like the figure, but I kept all the ones I got when I bought sets to part out.  They're going in my Halloween Town, so I wanted an army.

(No, I'm not buying yours, I've got enough)

Taj Mahal and a couple of figures

You get the full asking price you had on it?

Taj Mahal and a couple of figures

Awesome!! Great job selling it!

Yeah!! it was a very exciting moment. I already reinvested all of it on 3 more sets I caught on eBay between yesterday and today lol.

Sold an Xwing 9493 for 120 USD..................... really inflated lego prices in Mexico make this possible......

Sold a 7993 City Service Station NIB, POTC DVD-Player and my last TC-4 Droid today! Hopefully the curse is done now.

Sold a 3 piece City lot at a small loss, but I'd rather move the stuff now and use the funds to purchase more solid performers.

Purchased the 3 for a total of $47, sold for $45 and guessed incorrectly on shipping and lost another $3.

'sold' a dynamic duo funhouse two days ago and still haven't gotten payment yet. The buyer has 0 feedback..... this is bugging me, but I am waiting for the 3 days process time or whatever.

Just put a 10227 B-Wing Starfighter up on eBay today. I struggled a lot with whether to make shipping free or not, since it looks like for these large sets shipping runs to 20-30 dollars (and the B-Wing is not the largest set out there)! This is my first major set I'm trying to sell, so after looking at a lot of completed listings, I decided I'd probably get enough extra bidding action if I made shipping free to make it worth it. But, almost no one puts this set up for auction with for auction with free shipping (I only found one in the recent listings), so the higher price it got could have been an anomaly.

If anyone with a lot of experience out there could let me know these things, I'd appreciate it:

  1. Do you find you get better prices offering free shipping or making buyers pay for it?
  2. Do you find you get better prices by doing auctions on eBay or "Buy it Now"?

I have some more big sets to sell, so I'm hoping to get this figured out and get the best possible prices on the ones I sell later.
