March 30, 2018. This is a date that will forever be remembered. I can get a little emotional at times. As an adult, there are a few instances when I've shed a tear. I cried when my son was born. I cri

Today I tried something different and set up a Lego booth at a local indoor flea market that is held three times per year. I advertised on local Facebook buy/sell groups for about a month leading up t

Just had my first repeat buyer on ebay!

She grabbed a 4805 Ninja Knights minifig pack. $31 shipped.

Has business slowed right down for anyone else? Admittedly I have less listings up right now than I did in December and January, but I feel like sales have fallen off a cliff the past 10 days or so. Anyone else, or do I need to take a look at my prices again? Heheh. Slow sales this time of year is typical for most retail anyway, but January exceeded my expectations greatly, so now I'm optimistically hopeful for Feb.

My 11 year old opened her own BL store with my help, mostly selling minifigures. She is making probably $10 a week or more profit per week. She can inventory them, invoice, pack and ship. Not bad for 11 year old, on pace for $500 this year.

I threw a bunch of polybags that have languished forever on ebay listings and have been moving rocket racoons, hulks, mini tumblers, and a slew of others above ebay prices. Almost 100% international sales: poland, slovakia, S Korea and Spain just this week

$500 is a nice amount of money for an 11yr old. Wondering when my soon-to-be-10yr olds are going to want to take part in my little side business :)

Well done, very good education for her. Next thing we know little Timmy will be the competition :victory:

See my post ... my almost 10yr son is named Timmy :)

Bricktober Train Station and Toysrus Store for €40 cash, (buy-in zero)

Chima Flying Phoenix Fire Temple for €75 cash (buy-in €50, just freeing up cash flow)

Had 9 RE and found a box that fitted 8 perfectly. So I sold one £80 shipped ebay. It was the lowest priced bin on there and took 3 days to sell, so demand for this has really dropped off.

Also sold another R5 £260 cash, buy in £100. Think i'm gonna keep the other 8 long term now.

Sold a pair of pirate ships today.

6280 and 6250, used but complete with instructions. I found a wanted ad on CL and reached out to the buyer, let them drive the first offer and haggled from there. Turns out he was a legit collector and was willing to pay premium to have the opportunity to sit down and verify completion and quality. Spent half an hour with him at the coffee shop, saw some collection/stockroom photos on his phone that would rival many posted here already!

Purchased off a fellow Brickpicker a few weeks back, buy-in was $157.63 for the pair. Sold for $340 cash. :money:

Went and bought some shelving for my stockroom to celebrate!

Wow, you sure got a lot for $200 (US) worth of sets, nice sale.

Cha. I was stoked when we settled on the price. The whole transaction was delayed by about a week too, this was supposed to happen on Sunday. I was worried it would fall through as CL is so stereotyped for being the case. But it all worked out, and it sounds like I've got a future local buyer if I come across any more ships down the line! Very good sale for multiple reasons. The fact I never had to list anything.... Can't expect these to come along too often I guess!

Sold my first "real" set .... 75046 Coruscant Police Gunship for $80 shipped on eBay (buy-in was $35 just before the holidays). I don't know what the CAGR is on this, but $25 back on a $35 purchase in 2 months time is fine by me :) Now rinse and repeat at a higher price for the rest of them.

That's the plan right?!

You managed 530 posts and 290 likes before selling your first set on here. Nice work holding the line, I personally couldn't wait to dive in! People all say that buying is the fun part and selling is the hard part..... I duno though, the thrill of the sale is pretty fun too!

Ok maybe I didn't give myself enough credit with that statement ... I have sold small stuff the last few months, minifigs, the obligatory gingerbreadhouses, silver centurions etc... Just to get my feet wet. My game really is about running a parts store on BL, which requires a ton of legwork ... Buying, sorting, comparing, setting up efficient inventory systems etc. That's the main thing that's been keeping me busy ... And I finally opened my BL and BrickOwl store last week, so things are moving forward. I've got 10 sales already, so the timeand researchand 500 posts definitely paid off. Still have about 40k parts to inventory and list though :)

... Oh and let's not forget that startup that I'm trying to get off the ground as my main job :)

Sold a trio of Mixels Series 5 (Lixers) polgybags NISB last night.  Paltry little $4 net profit after shipping & all costs/fees, but was the first time I've flipped something in less than 48 hours after snagging it off a store shelf, and for a small fish like me who doesn't deal in sets often (just minifigs and bulk bricks), it was a fun little score.  Gotta love the soccer mom crowd on Ebay ;)

9493 X-Wing $189 Shipped. I remember I passed on the EOL deal at YO-YO buy 3 came out to $44 each since I was getting them at TRU for $36-$40 and I knew there was a remake coming and 10240 Red 5 should put a ceiling on sale price. I am happy with the returns on this set just wish I bought more.

I can't complain either, but I sold bunches for $100 - $120.

I'm starting to really like Mixels

Full set of series 2 sold for €82 plus shipping

Full set of series 4 sold for €50 plus shipping

Sold a couple sets today to one buyer.

A 7671 AT-AP Walker [subbed out minifigs, original troopers missing] and 7127 Imperial AT-ST from two separate bulk lots I grabbed for $98 shipped. Private sale, no fees. Buy in approximately $37 (had to bricklink some parts for the ATAP, guessed probably on the high side, at $15).

Chester & Durham Cathedrals for £500 cash, bought for £298. Now sold, I'll give each cathedral a £20 donation ;-)  I have 4 Chester Cathedrals on back order at £99 each but, they sold out last week. LEGO don't make religious buildings? Think again!  I've heard that Blenhiem Palace may be released this Summer, so be quick.

Has anyone sold a set on Amazon on drop shipped from Lego.com?  I just tried it, and someone bought one... Any tips or warnings?
