January 12, 20169 yr Was quiet after Christmas but just had a whole bunch happen at once. Catwoman, Arctic Batman, and the Power Armor Lex sets to one guy on Craigslist for $100 CDN, Paid half that. C3PO red arm polybag for $15 on Amazon. Was free 2 weeks ago. Iron Man Drone and Krang Turret polybags on Craigslist for $25 CDN, paid $10. Benny's ship for $120 CDN on Craigslist. Paid $75 just last week at Lego store.
January 12, 20169 yr Just sold a Starwars bundle locally; at-at, ISD & R5 for £540 cash Buy in was £215
January 13, 20169 yr Sold a lot of 3x 75034 DS Troopers to a guy for $100 CAD shipped. Shipping cost $12, Buy in was $11.20 per after tax. After paypal and ebay fees I'm calculating approximately 122% ROI for a 4 month hold. Wish I'd bought more, guess they might still be out in the wild... get em if you can folks, easy cash! Edit: Oh yea, also sold a 3 set of WKB minifigs to a lady for $23 shipped, they'll go in a bubble mailer for $1.80, Buy in was ~6.50 after tax and some VIP points at the lego store 2 weeks back. When I started this investing thing I had fully planned on the long term hold thing... but once you get a taste of flipping....respect to the low lifes. Edited January 13, 20169 yr by Zelgazra

Smh Avid SW collector here so I wish I had bought this set for myself when I first got out of my Dark Ages when it was trolling along in the low 200s. It's a pretty sweet model. Glad that it's finally going up.

All I was saying is that if something going from 200 to 350 (before fees, materials, etc) in over 2 years is considered a winner, well, yikes. Sorry if that offended anyone. Second. I think this is one thing we can get a 100% unanimous decision on, is that there is a 0% chance of a UCS Bwing remake. Third. I really do think we are getting into that zone. Maybe I have been reading the bubble thread a little to hard but the days of crazy %% increase are over. I do have to say though, this was never the best UCS investment but I'm happy that its chugging along. I think it will do great in the long run 5+ years with OT Anthology movies coming making old OT sets wanted. Ok sorry enough derailing of the selling thread.
January 13, 20169 yr So when you guys post your sales from FBA, is it after fees? Seems like your net should be quite a bit lower.

Even if fees were $55-65 on the $350 sale and it was bought at MSRP, that's still a 19%-21 CAGR....that's not shabby at all. I assumed 2 years post-retirement as I don't recall when B-Wing officially retired. I'm not sure why anyone would complain w/ that type of return. That May the 4th B-Wing for $99 + the freebies....quite the deal (and obviously a better return than my example).

Most of us think those who care will do the math and others just have the percentages memorized enough to figure it out in their heads. Those who post sale prices after fees usually say so.
