I've sold plenty of "open box, sealed bag" sets for 98%-100% of the sealed box rate. I would rather take a 2% hit than ship out a box like Trek found to a buyer.

Funny, someone just bailed me out as well and bought all of my 9450's on bricklink.  I didn't make much on them either, but I'm happy to get them out of my house.

My buyer asked me to ship without the boxes, so it appears mine will be parted out. If anyone else is having buyers remorse on this set get them on bricklink at a reasonable price and you may be able to off load them in one shot.

I have seen many listings on ebay where they open the box and show the (contents) bags of the set. I would prefer to take good pics of box seals than crack open boxes. I hope we never have to start selling that way.

I only do it in situations like I stated, where I know something was returned or if something about the box seems "off".

No... I thought it was the other way around. It was retired already in the US. Here it retired somewhere in the first quarter of 2014.
