When there's 300 hundred listings on an item, sometimes you have to every now and then, unless you're playing the long haul game.

There are many many many many reason for this , including doing it just because i want the house to burn down with everyone in it .. on that note I need to call my anger management consultant .

I just can't understand why most of you are moaning about QFLLs when eBay & Amazon are not the only options for selling. Just "advertise" yourself free in your local community by placing free (or very cheap) adverts in schools, libraries, village halls, kindergartens, independent toy shops, newsagents, supermarket notice boards, etc. Because word-of-mouth is the best advertising of all, I sometimes struggle to cope with all the requests I'm getting. Therefore, I can quick flip if I want (liek the Tesco sets) without affecting you lot or others on eBay & Amazon. Just give it a go, how hard or expensive can it be? Then again, I mainly bought sets that not many of you or QFLLs did. Believe it or not, I've sold more Ninjago this Xmas than any other theme.

I know QFLLs aren't popular on eBay but, just let them make their meagre profits. They are just stupid, impatient and greedy - the sort that'll NEVER survive in a real business. They also get returns when sets advertised as MISB are shipped in bin-liners. They are weak and they won't be here for long once they realise it's below minimum wage.

How is selling a $10 set that was readily available at $5 for $35 after it is retired considered qfll? Did I miss something? Wouldn't most people be happy with roughly 200%-300% roi on any sets that we sell?

Also, it the case of the 60055 set, there is a very similar set out/coming out soon that may affect the price of 60055. Look at 60146 stunt truck and see what I mean. Maybe people have large amounts of 60055 and have seen 60146 and don't want to risk it and are offloading at a price that still brings in a great roi while also allowing them to move volume.

I still don't know why ANYONE is buying 60055 for $35-40 in the first place!

To be honest local free ads is exactly where i go to sell shelf warmer stock.

If I'm trying to just offload i don't want fees or postage and certainly don't want to pull down values on ebay.

If i do list a set on ebay that is showing an upward trend i tend to list at 3rd cheapest price and wait for the market to come to me.

Glad it's not just me then ;-)

When I list on eBay, I typically go in near the top and and set Best Offer to automatically accept about 10% less as long as the profit is still good. I often have a "Contact Me" paragraph to invite bulk-buyers where I offer a further discount or a free set that I can't get rid of easily. I've often had bulk-buyers come around to the warehouse with a van and pay cash there and then. Most of the time they buy at least 100% more sets and hence no eBay fees on the extra. This is how I dumped the Tesco sets so quickly. It makes me nervous handling over £2,000 in cash so I ask for either a banker's draft or business cheque and wait for it to clear first. Part of the reason why I'm cooling things down a bit is that I'm close to having to register for VAT which I don't want to do until my new business is up and running at the start of the new '17/18 tax year.

If/when I get back into "The Game", I'll probably just focus on shifting job lots (even Chima/Friend/Nexo if cheap enough) as it's so much less work than listing, packing and posting individual sets. Don't worry, I won't be doing this on eBay but, I'm thinking about building a "TabbyToys" website ;-)

Yeah local ads are great for getting rid of dross, especially this time of year. It's where my 10188s were put out to pasture.

70504 £60 (includes postage) buy-in was about £6.50
42028 £55 buy in < £26 + free minifgures + £15 g/c at tru few weeks ago.
41130 from the 3 for 2 tesco.  About £15 profit each. Thankfully i sold mine before the prices tumbled & definitely not going to buy recently released sets again.

Ninjago selling well too but the stuff i'm sell is usually about 2 years eol.  In the past all my buy-in has been 75% off rrp (thank you Tesco, instore prices only).  95% of my sales are non-lego as never bothered to sell lego (better than gold....blah blah).  But going to have to sell my old stock to make space for the new stuff.   

Need to try local free ads....bought a 2nd mobile for this.  My contract will be paying me £30 over the course of 24 months with all the cashback.
