Do we need a separate "what did you sell" thread for you and TabbyBoy?

1x 9397 Technic Logging Truck for £130 cash, cost £66.66 in 3-for-2 at Argos (before they started covering with stickers and drop-kicking boxes).

Never going to laugh about the "girl" sets again. The only thing I have selling like crazy is the Elves sets.

4x Skyra's mysterious sky castle 41078.
Buy in 19 sold 4 so far (in the last 3 days) for 62 each on eBay. Just listed this stuff and already 12 watchers! Crazy! Thanks@exciter1 for opening my eyes almost left all those sets and those 5 dollar porta potties that day...lol

Where did you buy those for $19?

In fact several TMNT sets were sleepers. I remember buying 10x Baxter Robots from LEGO Shop at Home when they were half price at £19.99 and sold them all for around £50 3 months later. I'll be keeping a close eye on their "Sales & Deals" page this BF weekend.

That's not quite the definition of a "sleeper". I'd say a profit that mainly comes due to a buy-in at -50 % does not make a set under-the-radar gold. You can sell any Lego set for a profit if you bought it at 1/2 RRP. And apart from that Turtles was a real investment bust (for Europeans).

OK, I stand corrected in this context. In my other line of business a "sleeper" is something often overlooked that's available to the general public for a certain period at price A (whether RRP or not) and is then sold at a price of say, 2xA or more very soon after in the aftermarket. I do this with newly discontinued bike parts in bulk which is actually better as nobody worries about box condtion.

As far as LEGO sleepers at RRP go, I think those days are numbered if not, gone already. The days of buying at RRP to invest are long gone.

BL

always

I've been looking into BL recently and will try using it after Xmas. I'll be leaving eBay in the new year and looking for alternatives as local cash sales are hit and miss.

:-)

done in November.

Just a couple of sales that to me were interesting. (I'm not posting much, as I like to keep some privacy ;-)))

As you know, I've been locking in profits and selling down aggressively.

It is working well - touch on wood

latest sale was today

10216 Winter Village Bakery at 130E

sold 5 of them over the last 4 weeks... 'hot cakes' :)

So you think !

60008 Museum Break-in for $65

60034 Artic Helicrane for 30

60067 Helicopter Pursuit for 30

79109 Colby City Showdown for 50

70402 - The Gatehouse Raid for $40

$215 for everything in one deal off of CL - $48 in profit for the sale.  (Huge, no, but this a grind sometimes and each set was sold at a profit so I will take it and run.)

eBay
3 Darth Revan poly $19.95ea - free ship
(from gifts with keychain purchases)

Had not been moving at $24.95, tried a drop and ended at the bottom. Crept the couple left back up to see.
