There is such a thing as presales on eBay.  It's great for LEGO promos.  I have made better money selling a few days ahead of time rather than waiting until everyone has them in hand.  Having said that there is a fulfillment risk and the Gingerbread House prices actually climbed after it was released.

Yep, I sold anywhere from $45 clear up to $80.

Sold raptor escape 75920 for $109 plus shipping, went international...............

On Amazon FBM sold a 79008 LOTR Pirate Ship Ambush "Collectible" (sealed box but notably damaged) for $99.95 + $10.45 expedited shipping. My luck buyer was cross-country, so Priority Mail cost >$19... after fees cleared $6 profit... a wopping 9% on my investment. :/

 

 

 

 

 

I sold three 30474 Reindeer for $7 each, two buyers. 

Of course, eBay fees and such later only turned about $4.50 profit, but still. Paid for my singular Reindeer I kept as well.

40138 is offered between 25 and 35 E so glad I could sell for 35E.

Simpsons Level Pack, is offered for 18E at local retail, just wanted to get rid of it.

60124 is offered at local shops for 70E so not more margin in my selling region.

75919...you are correct, I could have waited for a better price but my attic is getting pretty full. I made extra storage space but every single spot is used. But my biggest learning curve is I should have followed my gut feeling and not only buying 1 box of this set. And I need to gain selling experience so this might be a learning curve as well

 

No matter how crowded your attic is - I'm pretty sure there are other sets in there that you should have let go instead of IR for 160 incl. shipping especially with a buy in of 119. I sold some last year for more than that and at that time they were still available everywhere and my buy in was only 80 Euros. Do you sell on ebay or only locally?

I think you guys are giving him/her a bit of a hard time over all of them except IR. That was a dumb move as that set will only climb as xmas approaches. Throw out anything else from your attic but that set!

The xmas freebie for 35 cash is good money  and the others are either turds or too new to be able to do anything but quick flip or hold for a year or two for marginal gains.
