Sold a sealed 7199 IJ Temple of Doom for $200, purchased for $115 6 months ago I have others, but this is just to give you an idea.

9446 maintains its price despite new version. How?

Because it is rarer and nicer than the new one.

I'm going to have to take a look at 9446. I think the new one is fantastic looking so now I'm curious about the old one.

Must have been because the buy box is currently a few dollars less.  I'm happy about that price too.  Not much else of my stock has hit my target lately.

I sold a B-Wing and a Rebel Snowspeeder together for $100. It was about $65 including Tax buy in, so I figure not too bad, considering that one of them is a B-Wing and the other one might be reissued in the Hoth base.

Well, my decision was more based on the upcoming set than on a 2-3 year cycle.

If I see another 6860 BC (2) and 10211 GE (6) in my collection it will be too soon.  Good riddance and "thank you" for the appreciation.   Just was never a fan of either set. 

Note: I did cut apart regular Amazon boxes to lay the 6th GE flat on top of the other sets, in-between each batcave and on the opposite end of the box opening for protection against box crushing and regular transit tumbling.   Also used plenty of brown packing paper.

I do have a used one mixed with 3 other sets. Maybe if I build it (will need to eventual), I will feel differently.
