What Lego set did you sell today and for how much?

Featured Replies

I sold my last one about 4 months ago on eBay for $360 shipped. I was glad to get rid of it too. I was greedy and thought it was going to go higher after the initial pop that topped out at about $500.

Didn't know that prices would go down also...only thought Lego would just go up and up as it gets more rare and rare....

The laws of supply and demand apply to Lego as well.

You will also find sellers on eBay who want to sell their items and are willing to have small profits or just break even to clear out inventory.

Not so good for your ROI, but it usually doesn't take long to weed them out. Patience is key.

In this case after the limited edition crawler along came 9398 another nice technic 4x4.  So in many people's eyes why spend $500 on the retired crawler when you can get one off the shelves for much less.  Definitely something to factor in when you sell and what you buy a lot of, potential for remakes.

Looks like people are starting to pay top $$$ for the Robie House - 21010. Sold one of three for $350 on eBay.

The 41999 is a limited edition fan design of 9398. 9398 came first, hence the now "non-standard" technic number. This is a case where 41999 was driven too high by speculation and panic.

All prices are in US dollars

Horizon Express 200 cash

used 4993 Cool Convertible - $70 shipped

used Iron Man (4529), Hulk and Captain America builds - $65 shipped, no boxes

Seapotato, nice sale.  I wanted to buy the Cosmic Escape just for the Loki minifig (and nice truck) for my son but $100 was too expensive :)  I sold all my CE sets for $75ish way back when...finding it hard to pay more for what I sold it for haha.  Turns out my son was happy enough with the Loki keychain.  Do you have anymore CE?

No, I just had the one from the bulk lot I bought last year! I've been selling a few of my superhero sets lately at decent prices :)

wow! is this some other cosmic cube or its #6867 ?

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing when I saw that price.  You can barely get $40 for this set in the U.S. on eBay.

OK, I was sticking to my price point and I declared I wouldn't sell a 9468 - Vampyre Castle for less than $200.  Well, I just sold one for $200 on EBay.  Join me, raise your prices folks!!!

oh, c'mon, you cannot entice collusion in your position  :-)

That is really good news. This could be a $250 set by Halloween

I hope you're right, but it looks like that buyer had to step over multiple listings below $200.

Yea that's the one 6967. Things are a bit different on amazon.ca.

Of course after fees it isn't nearly $100 lol.
