problem is that they are not.

They featured an article on the BBC news website about this.  Whilst they are not OOS at the moment, I imagine that's due to a dearth of VIP members compared to their stockpile, rather than demand.  As soon as it's open to general public I can imagine that it will OOS very quickly.  Perhaps they'll even recruit more VIPs in the process...

This fits right in with all of the other modulars, Haunted House style.  It is awesome!  I can't wait to build it and enjoy it!

So happy I got to order one (collector not an investor) - I was starting to think the US online store wasn't going to get it. Limit has gone down to 2 now btw (in US and Can).

I ordered 2. I would imagine that they probably only reserve a certain number for VIP members so that there is stock left to put on the shelves for the general public in February. That is when you will most likely see it sell out.

Starting to get posted on eBay for $270-$280 with free shipping. If that sticks, not going to be worth flipping these. Guess it depends on whether they sell out on LEGO Shop at Home quickly.

I could only order one at the moment (Canada). I would go to the LEGO store today but my doctor restricted me the couch rest all day... no lifting big LEGO boxes!

Wow, that didn't take long.  This morning there was only 1 listing on eBay UK.  It's starting to explode now.  1 person even boasts in their listing:
