Just curious, but do the finishing prices provided by the Ebay on the price guide include shipping costs? On sets that are selling a reasonable quantity every now and then you can see 1 or 2 auctions lower than the rest. If the prices shown do NOT include shipping costs I was wondering if the lower priced items had higher shipping costs causing people to bid less. Or were the buyers just lucky.

I doubt it because the "sold for" price doesn't include shipping. On a slightly different note I talked a seller down from his original shipping price, I called him out(nicely) and he shipped it for the actual amount. I was proud lol

Well Done on that. I am watching a number of bulk lots at the moment and the postage varies at lot. For example for 10kg it can be anywhere

We have UPS (I always pass two of their trucks on the way to work) and loads of others. For those in the UK, do not use Yodel for anything. Last year one of their vans turned up to delivery something next door and the driver climbed into the back and was throwing and kicking boxes about until he found the right one. I admit I have not investigated courier prices. Its something I will have to do when I come to sell. So far all my ebay auctions have been for small items with a low value (under

No shipping costs are included. Too variable. Outliers are removed to give a better average. Believe it or not, there are plenty of deals out there for various sets, at various times. Many times, I will look at multiple sold listings and say the prices can't be right, but they are. EBAY does a great job at discouraging sellers from overcharging for shipping. The overcharging can cause these sellers to be booted from EBAY altogether, so most sales data you see are legit prices. It pays to look for deals...because there are always new auctions and BUY IT NOWs that can be listed at anytime, so be vigilant.

eBay bans people who gouge you on shipping? I guess they can't get them all because I still see plenty.

Thanks Ed. Its something to bear in mind when comparing past prices on something I am watching.

Speaking of overcharging shipping costs, five or six years ago I purchased a memory stick, it was listed for
