I am always emailing eBay members but never does a new gray version of this set come up. I'm looking for a used set, not new. Willing to pay $500 for pieces only, +$15 for unused sticker, +$20 with box, +$50 with manual. Shipping included in my offer. Anyone here have this set in the 2005 newer grays for sale?

I personally don't lose but in the end someone pays for it. Anyway, I will reserve judgement until I see what happens.

I didn't notice anything about the listing that would suggest it's not legit. In fact, i kind of regret not grabbing it for myself... But at the time i was thinking i already have enough Lego on my plate, and nothing's changed since then. I hope it works out, Barca.

Man, both that pic and the Death Star one look like too few bags. Also strange the way the picture is taken with the instructions covering the pile. I hope you got a good deal, and didn't get taken.

I found a very good picture of one new set opened with all the plastic bags laid out, so as soon as I get it I will compare both. At least the manual seems to be in good condition and assuming it is complete I could recover some of the money by selling it. But honestly, eBay should have my back on this one. The guy did not require signature on delivery so he has that against him as well.

I can't imagine you would have trouble. Ebay requires you say its incomplete. If not, they will refund the money.

You may also try to weight it. Your errorbar will be one bag, not one piece.
