The $10 gift card offered over BF and CM...

That would be fine if shipping were free.

exactly :)

I don't get the outrage. Toys R Us just did the same thing. The $10 gift card with $100 purchase is only good for 1 week! I don't think this is that unusual or even a big deal. Just saying

yeah, but the thing is... who would search that card when they saw the promo... xD

Apparently Fcbarcelona101 lol

The $10 from the was not called a gift card.

I think everyone understands the semantics of the verbage but its still shady for TLG to not include that information when you perchased the item. Not wait for it to be in your hands.

They should have put buy $149 worth of stuff and get a promo gift card good till Dec 31th.

look how easy it was!! then no one complains but we all know they didn't do it because they knew they wouldnt sell as much as the earier poster stated he didnt once he heard

Has anyone used the $10 promo gift card online yet?  I don't know what numbers I am supposed to type in or where I am supposed to type them.

On the back of the card on the left is a number (eight digits maybe?), and a silver scratch off panel.  Under the scratch off panel is the PIN.  You'll have to enter both the card number (lower left back) and the PIN (lower right back) during the checkout process. The $10 comes off your purchase price immediately after entering the card info.

Yeah, totally just noticed the expiration date.  Lego just continues to rub it in my face that I didn't order on the 23rd.

Just dumb. Like the 10% VIP coupon changed to exclude exclusives. Penny wise perhaps. Now this joke. They went from ~80%redemption rate on these to ~65% rate with the sneaky wording and fine print. Is that really worth disappointing people?

How about the change on the VIP coupon---big words--10% off any set. Which has been true for the last 3 years at least. Then when you get there---oh--didn't you see the fine print---only on chitty sets, which you can buy down the hallway at target for 30% less. The stores were awesome and the place to be over the last couple years---not its ****. Nowhere near the crowds I saw even 6 months ago. I am sure they know what they are doing. I hope.

These extra profits might be expensive. At what cost this "victory" is the question.

Oh come on, like you all weren't going to find a reason to buy something at LEGO Shop at Home in the next month anyway. :-)

Is there a reason to buy anything from them?  I can't think of anything.  My $10 "gift card" will most likely not be used.

I will use them on a mini mod and small set to get free shipping. Would have preferred to use it when I wanted to...like when there was a promo set---hell--toss me a speedor or a galaxy squad! Something! I've never ordered anything without a freebie of some sort.

If you don't use it I would buy it from you...but I'm not sure if they will have early access to the Maersk Ship before Dec 25 or so.

I will keep you in mind if I don't use it. The only thing I might try to get is the chess set (if that is restocked).
